The new AMD GPU, Tahiti XT, the first representative of the Southern Island series managed to impress us in the most brutal way possible by the excellent performance at the moment and therefore HD 7970 is the fastest GPU and the fastest single-GPU video card. It's scaling performance is good, with an average of 20-25% over the HD 6970 in all applications tested, its leading overclocking performance even higher with a slightly smaller scale (10-15%) but noticeable.
