Graphics Cards
    GTX680-2GD5

    8.5/10

To be fair, we'll have to give it to Nvidia that the GTX 680 is still a very fast card and has significantly better energy efficiencies and clock potential than the Taihiti XT @ 28nm. It is also refreshing that AMD finally has some competition at the top, so we can stop paying ridiculous prices for single GPU boards. We also didn't cover the other features like TXAA and triple display support, but these are gimmicks that are also present in the Radeons. We would like to pit the GTX 680 again with the HD 7970 in multi-GPU scenarios, hopefully 4-way. more

    Graphics Cards
    HD7850-DC2T-2GD5

    Game Changer

Pros:Surprisingly good performance at stock speeds; Relatively inexpensive; Good overclocking potential; Only require one 6-pin PCIe power connector (good for HTPCs or low power setups); Up to 6-monitor Eyefinity, SteadyVideo UVD, PCIe 3.0, gradually maturing drivers. Cons: Higher power consumption than reference; Noisy at full fan speeds (no problems at AUTO); Cooler could have been smaller to keep the card at 8-inches instead of 10.5 inch, since there was clearly a lot of thermal headroom more

    Sound Cards and Digital-to-Analog Converters
    Xonar Essence One

    Good Innovation

We were really impressed by the speed and accuracy of the delivery and the distinct separation of the percussion instruments on this track. On lesser sound cards the drum beats are usually a distorted mess but the Xonar One reproduced every hit with gusto. The electric guitar riffs were also brightly coloured and we could make out a lot of tiny details that we didn't notice before. The 3D sonic imaging of the battlefield was spot on and we could react to well defined footsteps of enemy players. More crucially, we didn't notice any input lag between the action on the screen and the sound of gunfire and explosions. more

    Networking
    RT-N66U

    9/10

At the performance end, ASUS maintained its lead among the present lot of dual-band adversaries, more pertinently with its stunning downstream wireless throughputs on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. And although we didn't verify it for ourselves, the router's beefy 600MHz processor and generous 256MB RAM should ensure a resilient tolerance against heavy loads and multiple connections. more

    Motherboards
    CROSSHAIR V FORMULA

    Best Enthusiast Motherboard for AMD

This means the ASUS Crosshair V Formula is the clear winner as it excelled in almost all the areas we scrutinized the boards, including acing the performance tests such as the productivity oriented SYSmark 2007 benchmark. Although it was the most expensive board, we felt that the price disparity is warranted in terms of its strong lead over the rest as well as its well-implemented UEFI BIOS that will strike a chord with power users and overclockers.

    All-in-One PCs
    ET2400XVT

    Top 3

This ASUS is a checklist for the latest PC innovations. 23.6in multi-touch screen? Check. Active 3D blu-ray and gaming? Check. Bleeding-edge Intel quad-core i7 and Nvidia graphics hardware? Check. Shame then, that touch is merely ok, and it's not quieter.
