      8+1 Flexible Expansion Slots

The ESC4000 G2 supports up to eight PCI-E Gen3 x16 slots for high expandability, compatible with versatile expansion cards, especially in supporting up-to-date Intel® Xeon Phi™ 5110P and 3100 series as well as NVIDIA Tesla K10/K20 Family and GRIDTM K2 of GPU accelerators. In addition, there is an optional riser for a low profile/half-length card and PIKE solution.

Intelligent System Fan Control II Function

To improve heat-dispersion and a stable computing environment, independent smart fans provide cooling for each area of the GPU and CPU, and a dual-fan design for GPU cards provides an extra thermal back-up solution.

      1+1 Redundant PSU (1620W 80+ Platinum)

The ESC4000 G2 is equipped with a 1620W 80+ Platinum level redundant power supply with power efficiency up to 94% for energy savings, while the hot swappable design reduces power loss, improves power efficiency and saves more TCO for users.

      Comprehensive RAID Solutions

The ESC4000 G2 supports the optional ASUS RAID PIKE upgrade kit. With only a PIKE riser card and a PIKE card, upgrade the server from a SATA to SAS based storage system by re-connecting the cable from the onboard SATA to a PIKE riser SAS port. Users now have flexible choices for multiple storage options!

      Complete Server Remote Management Solution

By installing an optional Web GUI ASMB6-iKVM module, users can have full control of the server with an out-of-band server-based management (IPMI 2.0 standard) and 24x7 real-time remote monitor. Meanwhile, ASWM Enterprise software provides one-to-multiple centralized management including BIOS flash, remote control, power control and asset management through a user-friendly interface. Users can utilize an effective tool with a user-friendly interface to control the servers remotely.

      Cutting-edge Architecture

The ESC4000 G2 supports dual CPUs from the Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 processor family and with 16 DIMM sockets onboard, up to 512GBof four-channel DDR3 1600/1333 memory is supported. Combined, they provide for a high computing capability that can tackle the most difficult of tasks. Additionally, there are more PCI-E lanes with PCI-E Gen 3 support, which is suitable for systems that require high I/O connectivity and bandwidth and supports more PCI-E devices.

      PIKE

      Scalable and Flexible Storage Options

1U (43.3mm) chassis is commonly used in data centers for space-saving's think, however, the expandability may be sacrificed in the slim form factor.

ASUS optional PIKE (Proprietary I/O Kit Expansion) meets the demand of direct SAS RAID upgrade on original servers, and what important is that it is connected through a unique slot to the server and will not occupy the slot 6 in 1U chassis, therefore no expansion capability will be given up.

The ASUS unique PIKE provides customers with multiple I/O solutions. It helps upgrade from SATA storage to SAS storage directly, support various RAID function, without any other hardware upgrade.

On the other hand, the PIKE kit also reduces the qualification resources for testing and inventory management efforts for customers.

Moreover, ASUS 6Gb/s PIKE cards are backward compatible with existing 1.5Gb/s SATA and 3Gb/s SAS/SATA products and infrastructure. Upgrading only the PIKE card immediately improves performance with larger capacity and better signaling, making this a great upgrade option for consumers.

The ASWM Enterprise is a proprietary server management solution that gives a vital distinction to our servers.

In server management, system stability is a major factor, with efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and convenience following close behind. To comply with this, we have created a reliable and user-friendly ASWM Enterprise monitoring tool. The ASWM Enterprise is a web-based interface that allows system administrators to conveniently manage computers either locally (from the same server), or remotely (using a web-browser).

The main control panel of the ASWM Enterprise user interface

With its colorful, graphical, and informative interface, the ASWM Enterprise makes server management a delightful experience!

The Client Information of the selected computer is displayed as shown

Utilization Sensor shows the utilization status of disk drives, CPU, Memory and Network. You can customized the threshold value of each sensor for sending notifications

      How ASWM Enterprise works

The ASWM Enterprise is composed of an “agent” that generally acts as a data collector, and a set of HTTP web pages that serve as the user interface (UI). The data collected by the agent, which are essential for the continuous monitoring operations performed by ASWM Enterprise, are displayed in the UI.

The wizard will guide you through the deployment process

      Select different Agent Deploy Mode

In the monitoring process, the agent basically keeps track of the hardware and software status of the system. The agent has “sensors” that monitor fan rotation speeds (in RPM), working voltages, motherboard and CPU temperatures, and the backplane (if present).

Real-time notification of each component with colored signals

In addition, the agent also monitors hard disk drives health status through the SMART (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology) feature, space utilization of a file system, CPU or system memory loading, and even the traffic status of a network device.

The disk information screen includes Name, Media Type, Status, Manufacturer, Size, S.M.A.R.T Support and S.M.A.R.T Status

The agent records the history of the detected status of all monitored hardware items. The status record includes the time of alert events (fan, voltage, or temperature), and the type of alert event (critical, warning, or normal).

ASWM Enterprise automatically create and record all the significant events happening on your system in the event logs

You can also configure ASWM Enterprise to react to exceptional situations. For example, the administrator can be automatically notified by e-mail when a hard drive starts to malfunction or when a chassis intrusion is detected. In this way, ASWM Enterprise acts as an active guardian of the system’s key components.

You can the select the notification methods of each sensor, Hardware and Utilization
