      Green Design

The performances of SPEC Power2008 and SPEC CPU2006 for ASUS Server & Workstation always outshine in the top rank among all. The very reason why we can make it is because we have the following leading features to provide you the most optimized powerful efficiency solution.

      The ASUS EPU
The ASUS EPU technology provides total system power efficiency by automatically detecting current loadings and moderating power in real-time.

And from the diagram, you can find with the EPU Engine, our products are able to save the power on demand and the ultimate power design can make your system more stable and have a longer life span.

      80 PLUS Power Supply
80 PLUS is an electric utility-funded product which can integrate more energy-efficient power supplies. By utilizing it, the performance of efficient power supply can even soars to 90 % when the loading of related output power increases to the peak!

      6+3 Phase Power Design
ASUS Server & Workstation is the first one in the worldwide providing you the 6+3 phase (6-phase CPU power, 3-phase memory power) to reduce power loss and obtain the high performance in power ratio. With those phase design, your system will diagnose your power need in every gadget; hence it can adjust the power flow in real-time automatically.

      ASUS Server Virtualization
ASUS has partnered with VMware to deliver a comprehensive virtualization solution to raise the utility rate of Server & Storage and support dynamically changing business requirements. And with an onboard vertical USB connector design for VMware ESXi in your system which can just fit in 1U system, it will be no effort for you to utilize this advanced breakthrough invention.

      PIKE

      Scalable and Flexible Storage Options

1U (43.3mm) chassis is commonly used in data centers for space-saving's think, however, the expandability may be sacrificed in the slim form factor.

ASUS optional PIKE (Proprietary I/O Kit Expansion) meets the demand of direct SAS RAID upgrade on original servers, and what important is that it is connected through a unique slot to the server and will not occupy the slot 6 in 1U chassis, therefore no expansion capability will be given up.

The ASUS unique PIKE provides customers with multiple I/O solutions. It helps upgrade from SATA storage to SAS storage directly, support various RAID function, without any other hardware upgrade.

On the other hand, the PIKE kit also reduces the qualification resources for testing and inventory management efforts for customers.

Moreover, ASUS 6Gb/s PIKE cards are backward compatible with existing 1.5Gb/s SATA and 3Gb/s SAS/SATA products and infrastructure. Upgrading only the PIKE card immediately improves performance with larger capacity and better signaling, making this a great upgrade option for consumers.

The ASWM Enterprise is a proprietary server management solution that gives a vital distinction to our servers.

In server management, system stability is a major factor, with efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and convenience following close behind. To comply with this, we have created a reliable and user-friendly ASWM Enterprise monitoring tool. The ASWM Enterprise is a web-based interface that allows system administrators to conveniently manage computers either locally (from the same server), or remotely (using a web-browser).

The main control panel of the ASWM Enterprise user interface

With its colorful, graphical, and informative interface, the ASWM Enterprise makes server management a delightful experience!

The Client Information of the selected computer is displayed as shown

Utilization Sensor shows the utilization status of disk drives, CPU, Memory and Network. You can customized the threshold value of each sensor for sending notifications

      How ASWM Enterprise works

The ASWM Enterprise is composed of an “agent” that generally acts as a data collector, and a set of HTTP web pages that serve as the user interface (UI). The data collected by the agent, which are essential for the continuous monitoring operations performed by ASWM Enterprise, are displayed in the UI.

The wizard will guide you through the deployment process

      Select different Agent Deploy Mode

In the monitoring process, the agent basically keeps track of the hardware and software status of the system. The agent has “sensors” that monitor fan rotation speeds (in RPM), working voltages, motherboard and CPU temperatures, and the backplane (if present).

Real-time notification of each component with colored signals

In addition, the agent also monitors hard disk drives health status through the SMART (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology) feature, space utilization of a file system, CPU or system memory loading, and even the traffic status of a network device.

The disk information screen includes Name, Media Type, Status, Manufacturer, Size, S.M.A.R.T Support and S.M.A.R.T Status

The agent records the history of the detected status of all monitored hardware items. The status record includes the time of alert events (fan, voltage, or temperature), and the type of alert event (critical, warning, or normal).

ASWM Enterprise automatically create and record all the significant events happening on your system in the event logs

You can also configure ASWM Enterprise to react to exceptional situations. For example, the administrator can be automatically notified by e-mail when a hard drive starts to malfunction or when a chassis intrusion is detected. In this way, ASWM Enterprise acts as an active guardian of the system’s key components.

You can the select the notification methods of each sensor, Hardware and Utilization

ASUS ASMB6-iKVM is an effective remote server management chip that is IPMI 2.0 compliant and provides the OS-independent and cross-platform interface for monitoring the server system such as temperature, voltage, and Fan status etc. MIS can be informed of the server working status from anywhere, anytime via real-time event notification. With simple steps, MIS is able to control servers by functions keys and remote server screen to accomplish KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) over LAN, which is based on BIOS-level access and keeps working to provide around-the-clock remote monitor and diagnosis through GUI (Web-based Graphical User Interface) even the server OS is down.

      ASUS Web GUI

      Remote Server Screen

The ASMB6-iKVM module offers advanced server management functions including “remote OS installation”, "remote power on/off/reset", "remote control", “remote hardware health monitoring” and “system event log”. Through the enhanced data encryption (in Advanced Encryption Standard), the internet security can be protected.

      Remote Power Control

Multiple Virtual Media over LAN allows administrators to share the data saved in a local drive (simultaneous floppy, Hard disk or USB and CD or DVD redirection) to target servers, which provide a way for easy maintenance and simplify OS deployment process. At the same time, the KVM function also enables faster troubleshooting than before by fixing server problems from wherever you are and therefore reduces system downtime and operation cost.

      Multiple Virtual Media over LAN

Network bonding could support automatic failover witch switch over automatically to a redundant network when dedicated LAN failed.

      Network Bonding support

With ASMB6-iKVM, MIS has the most quick and efficient way to recover the system in service and improve the system's availability significantly by the complete remote management tools.
