Never say never is the ASUS spirit! - When ASUS dedicated engineers considered X99 project, they studied every detail to find ways to excel. They discovered the CPU pads exceeded the socket pads, so set out to discover this undocumented feature. During the development, engineers spent a lot of effort to figure out the functions and apply them to our layout design and UEFI BIOS. The OC Socket was then created to bridge the gap between CPU and motherboard design.

The OC Socket breakthrough has been established by Rampage V Extreme immediately after launch, securing no fewer than 28 overclocking records!
