ASUS AiCloud combines a cutting-edge 802.11ac Wi-Fi router with easy to use services that allow anyone to create their own personal cloud storage, while two new Designo Series monitors deliver high-quality images in a stunningly slim and elegant design.
Gamers have not been overlooked either as ASUS is also announcing a powerful new range of GT600 Series graphics cards based on NVIDIA®’s latest chipsets. Finally, ASUS is also introducing the world’s first Thunderbolt™ add-in card — the ThunderboltEX.
ASUS AiCloud – comprehensive cloud space, always on-the-go
ASUS AiCloud brings the convenience of cloud-based storage to everyone with a combination of easy to use technology and services, as well as indefinite storage and increased privacy. At home, users simply use the new ASUS RT-AC66U at the centre of their network, which then provides combined 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless data transfer speeds of up to 1.75Gbps via 802.11ac, and acts as the hub for a number of cloud services. ASUS Cloud Disk provides remote access to multimedia content held on any storage device connected to the ASUS RT-AC66U’s USB port, which means users have access to their own media server on everything from Android or iOS-based smartphones or tablets to notebooks and no longer need to store space-hungry music and movie collections locally.
ASUS Smart Access allows any networked computer to be incorporated into a personal cloud for selective file sharing over the internet, using any compatible Windows, Mac and Linux device. Compatible devices can even be woken from sleep by remote control, which means there is no need to waste energy by leaving computers running 24/7.
ASUS Smart Sync makes it easy to synchronise data on local storage devices with an ASUS WebStorage account. Synchronisation is automatic and takes place in the background to ensure that files are always up to date, plus files can also be easily shared with friends using a simple URL.
AiCloud offers increased functionality over other cloud services, with features such as indefinite storage, improved privacy through your own private cloud, and high-speed downloading, streaming, sharing or syncing of files across multiple devices. The AiCloud app is available as a free download from either the Play Store on Android or the App Store on iOS devices.
