    ASUS Transformer Pad (TF103C)

    DL editor's Choice

Transformer's in-plane switching (IPS) screen provides excellent viewing angles with the screen displaying good colour accuracy. The small touchpad works well enough, especially when small, precise cursor movements are called for.

    RT-AC3200

    8.5/10

That said, the ASUS RT-AC3200 is by no means an inferior alternative. Though it costs more at S$429 and offers a bit less performance, it redeems itself with its very rich feature set. We especially like the new Traffic Analyzer function as it allows users to very quickly see all connected devices' usage. We expect parents to love this new feature as it will allow them to easily monitor their children's online usage. Bosses and IT administrators of SMEs will like this new feature too. If you find the features offered by the ASUS RT-AC3200 router useful, don't be dissuaded by its slightly lower performance because it is definitely still a very capable router. more

    STRIX-GTX980-DC2OC-4GD5

    8/10

The performance of the ASUS Strix GeForce GTX 980 OC Edition was marginally lagging its competitors due to its lower operating clock speeds. Only in its overclocked state did the card make an impression on us. Its DirectCU II cooling system didn't do any wonders and its power consumption was similar to the MSI card, despite the latter having higher clock speeds. The card does have some interesting features, like its voltage modification points that will allow the tinkerer to bypass voltage and temperature safeguards for extreme overclocking. Also, the card has Molex connector LEDs for visual checks. more

    Best Motherboard Brand

From our understanding, what most of our readers like about ASUS' graphics cards (variety, performance, reliability) also apply to the company's motherboards. Case in point: there's the B85-Pro Gamer for budget DIY enthusiasts all the way to the X99-Deluxe for owners of Intel's Core i7 Haswell-E processors. And let's not forget the Z97-based ROG Maximus VII family, which is synonymous with top-notch materials and components. And more recently, the company has implemented USB 3.1 functionality on several of its motherboards. As such, it's no wonder ASUS has once again (for the sixth year running, by the way) walked away with our Best Motherboard Brand award, garnering an impressive 56% of the votes. more

    Best Graphics Card Brand

With 44% of the votes, this is the sixth straight year ASUS has strolled away with our Readers' Choice award for Best Graphics Card Brand. Once again, we think ASUS' popularity boils down to its ability to churn out a wide range of graphics cards for both NVIDIA and AMD fans. For example, this GM200 Maxwell-based ASUS GeForce GTX Titan X and Radeon R9 295X2 for hardcore gamers, this Strix GeForce GTX 960 for mass market gamers, and this overclocked ROG Ares III with dual Radeon R9 290X. more

    Best Wireless Brand

In the last few years, ASUS has proven that it's capable of making networking products that go up against the very best from D-Link, Linksys, and Netgear. The company's RT-AC87U is a good pick for those looking for an AC2400 wireless router, so too is the RT-AC68U if you feel AC1900 is sufficient. And of course, there's the RT-AC3200 if you've a lot of wireless devices and need as much bandwidth as possible. With 34% of the votes, this is the second straight year the Taiwanese company has won our networking award. Linksys (19%) and D-Link (18%) come in second and third respectively. more

    8/10

In the end, the MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 2G manages to edge out the competition, based on its attractive price point, consistent performance with less heat and lower power draw. Also, the updated MSI Gaming App that paid attention to finer details, was a nice touch to complete the package. more
