About as good as it gets

The Z97-WS is the kind of product that feels like it was "designed for me". No BS. Just rock solid.

    Editor's Choice

Overall, we think that the Z97-WS is an exceptional platform and ASUS has done a good job with feature load out and updates to the BIOS and ease of overclocking. We also did like the number of USB ports you can run on this motherboard, it seems we never have enough of these anymore. Whether you are a system builder or a DIY kind of person, you really cannot go wrong with this motherboard Read more at http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/6292/asus-z97-ws-workstation-intel-z97-motherboard-review/index8.html more

What can be said of price-to-performance that hasn't already been stated? It certainly doesn't account for added features, and the board that has the fewest features also has the lowest price. I might like that Asus' Z87-WS isn't packed with stuff I don't need, personally, but you might need those things. more

    Tech Kings Crowned Product

If you're delving into the high-end board space in the ~$300 range, it's hard to definitively recommend a different board unless you really want absolute no-bard-held overclocking, built-in wireless, bluetooth, and/or Thunderbolt. If those aren't life-changers for you, the Z87-WS should be ready and able to scratch your every itch, and let's be honest, you deserver it for your 300 hard-earned duckets. more

    Tech Kings Crowned Product

we've beat the crap out of this board for awhile now, it's been resilient (and has become more resilient with each BIOS ASUS has rolled out), and really rocks an expandable, nearly-unmatched featureset when it comes to raw horsepower with ASUS' user-friendly utilities as the icing on top. more

    Pureoverclock Editor's Choice

We really didn't find any negatives or downfalls with the ASUS P9X79-E WS motherboard. With a price tag of $469.99, we find that price is a bit steep, however if you consider the capabilities and features of the board, that really isn't a bad deal at all for a workstation board. To find a perfect match of both features and performance is hard to beat. Because of these factors we are honored to give the ASUS P9X79-E WS motherboard our PureOverclock Editors Choice Award. more
