Essence Hi-Fi Audio
    Xonar DGX

    Editor's Choice

So should you buy a sound card? That's partly how much you care about sound quality particularly in regards to music. It also depends on what listening hardware you have. For those using the analogue outputs, either good headphones or speakers are a requirement to using a dedicated sound card. In any of these cases, both the Xonar DGX and the DSX are fairly inexpensive at $39.57 and $59.24 respectively, but also deliver impressive results for how much they cost. Given how much I enjoyed listening with both these cards, they are both worthy of our Editor's Choice Award. more

    Gaming
    Orion PRO

    OCC Gold

Having completely despised the Vulcan ANC headset from ASUS, I honestly expected – and was ready to – hate this headset as well. However, I was completely blown away by the ROG Orion Pro headset. It was beyond my expectations in sound, depth, and overall performance/ease of use. I wanted to hate them after the Vulcan ANC headset had disappointed me so much, but I just couldn't. The sound quality and depth of songs just left me in awe with the Orion Pro headset. These little guys will be travelling with me next week for work and have a nice little home here at my gaming computer for late night battles with my friends. I honestly can't put too many words with this headset; the sound is just remarkable for the price and comfort. They just seem surreal. more

We highly recommend using 802.11ac on the 5GHz band if you can afford it as the performance is far better than anything you've used before on 802.11n powered networks or older. more

    Motherboards
    MAXIMUS V GENE

    Recommended

The Maximus V Gene provides a great motherboard with a ton of features, if you do not mind paying the small price premium. Even when you factor the initial cost in, against all the functionality, the software, the BIOS and the features, it makes financial sense that this board is worth purchasing for the extra green. more

    RAMPAGE IV EXTREME

    Editor's Choice Silver

When testing this motherboard, it did almost everything right for overclockers and would keep a lot of users very happy. It comes with MCT at stock but also overclocks like a beast, being one of the top boards for competitive overclockers due to its stability, memory compatibility, and features like the OC Key which you do not get in other motherboards. more
