EX-GTX1050TI-4G

    goldfries Recommended Hardware

The lowest priced ASUS GTX 1060 3GB retails at around RM 1139. The 3GB model runs at a slightly reduced performance when compared to the 6GB model but the difference is around 5% – 10% depending on game. Now compare that to the ASUS GTX 1050 Ti that retails at RM 759. From a consumer stand-point, you have the option to pay 50% more to get anywhere from 50% to 75% boost in gaming performance. Not a bad deal. Remember, not many games push the 3GB VRAM limit and even if they did so, the GTX 1060 would still out performance the GTX 1050 Ti, fortunately the Price to Performance ratio for the GTX 1050 Ti isn't far off so either way you get great stuff. It's just that you get the better stuff if you wait out and pump in a little extra.

The ASUS Expedition GTX 1050 Ti 4GB retails at RM 759, which is very competitive compared to the other custom GTX 1050 Ti models in the market. If you're in the market for a new graphics card for Full-HD gaming with a clean and compact design, excellent out-of-the-box performance, low power consumption and noise level without spending more than RM 800, then you should consider putting the ASUS Expedition GTX 1050 Ti 4GB into your shopping cart. more

    Pokdeward Silver

The ASUS ROG STRIX RX 480 is priced at RM1499 which makes it's the priciest AIB Radeon RX 480 card, closely followed by the MSI Radeon RX 480 Gaming X. With the competition setting their prices within the same range, I dare say that the ROG STRIX RX 480 is not really that expensive, it is just that the Ringgit that is weak. more

    9 out of 10

The second point is that after many years, the company has finally managed to create an entry-level card that really has a great price to performance ratio. At a price of RM759 and with huge overclocking headroom, this card is miles ahead of NVIDIA's previous generation GeForce GTX 750 Ti and GTX 950 in terms of performance. Aside from the fact that the card would've benefited from the inclusion of a PCIe connector to help drive more power into it for higher clockspeeds, there really isn't anything stopping us from recommending it to the masses. more

    ROG RAMPAGE V EDITION 10

    Pokdeward Gold

It's the most expensive X99 motherboard in the market right now. One of the reasons is because it comes with the SupremeFX Hi-Fi DAC. But after bearing in mind all the features and accessories, also the overclocking capabilities this baby has, the ASUS ROG Rampage V Edition 10 is really worth the cost. What makes this motherboard even more special is it is commemorative of the 10th anniversary of the original ASUS ROG Rampage. ASUS is essentially successful in adding sentimental value to the motherboard for old-time fans of the Rampage series, while bringing great new features that will entice even newcomers to the ASUS Republic of Gamers. I do not hesitate to award it our Gold Pokdeward. ASUS ROG Rampage Edition 10 is available, priced at RM2733 at any shop or online retailers in Malaysia. Join the Republic, scrubs. And yes, while it is worth robbing a bank for, we do not officially condone any crime. more

While ASUS graphics cards has a long history of being the most expensive around, the ASUS Expedition GTX 1050 Ti is an exception. RM759 is a surprisingly good price tag we'd say, not because of the brand, but of what the card is capable of - good overclocking headroom, decent performance, no external power required, all the qualities that makes it worth recommending for the budget gamers out there more

Alas, as it is with all high-end motherboards, the RM1,488 retail price of this Strix X99 Gaming motherboard is still a major sticking point that would deter gamers from actually getting it. But, as we had said at the beginning of this review: if money is not an option for the building of your new high-end PC, then by all means, do consider this motherboard. more

    Pokdeward Gold

The new process node does seem to yield even better power efficiency with the Pascal architecture, compared to the 16nm FinFET process the previous cards were based on. The ASUS Expedition GeForce GTX 1050 Ti has proven that it's not only a good card for iCafe applications, but even for consumers, who will similarly benefit from its amazing performance per watt ratio. And not only is it power efficient, it is also quite cost effective at RM759! I award the ASUS Expedition GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with Gold Pokdeward. more

    Pokdeward Bronze

Honestly the Radeon RX 460 is not a good card if you are upgrading from an older card, being more suitable when you're building a new PC. Throw in a FreeSync monitor and you are set. The ASUS ROG STRIX RADEON RX 460 is priced at RM741 and the cheapest FreeSync monitor you can get is around RM599. With this combo, I am pretty sure you can enjoy better gameplay. TECH CRITTER Recommended

Price wise, the ASUS ROG Strix RX 460 4GB isn't the cheapest RX 460 around, and in fact, cost roughly 10% more compared to most of its competitors. Though, that RM741 you'll be spending on the ROG Strix RX 460 gives you some extras in return, which are not offered by some of its competitor, i.e better aesthetics, clean and solid build, extra cooling features. more

    ROG STRIX-GTX1060-O6G-GAMING

    Pokdeward Silver

The only disadvantages GeForce GTX 1060 has is no support for SLI configurations, which might bother those who intend to drop in a second card for more performance later on. It will always be foreveralone, sadly. However I do believe a single GeForce GTX 1060 is enough for my gaming. Based on the performance and also value for money preposition when compared to certain GTX 1070 cards, it's hard for me to award it a Gold Pokdeward. Therefore, I award the card with a Silver Pokdeward. more

    ROG STRIX X99 GAMING

    4.5 out of 5

While all Intel X99 motherboards tend to be the same in terms of functions, this ASUS entry—LED, blings, and all—is trying to change that. It will certainly create colour envy among friends at LAN parties when it fires up all the LEDs inside. Just what one needs to really thumb down the competition. more

While I had expected the ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 8GB GPU to be a monstrous entry and fully expected it to blow my expectations out of the water, I did not anticipate how awesome it truly is and the sort of performance delivery it is out to offer. Word of advice: one will need a really goo GPU to fully leverage the power of this pixel-laden beast. ASUS has officially recommended a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 but, personally, a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or 1060 would be better as they are more than adequate for max graphic setting delivery. more
