Taipei, Taiwan (28th October, 2016) — ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced the second and final round of ROG OC Showdown Formula Series, and RealBench Challenge III and Challenge IV.
ROG OC Showdown Formula Series Round 2 opens for entries on 28th October, 2016 and runs through to 28th November, 2016; RealBench Challenge III and IV will start respectively on 28th October and 25th November, with each Challenge running for 11 days.
Both competitions are open to overclockers that use air- or water-cooled systems.

ROG OC Showdown Formula Series: Round 2 commences on 28th October

In co-operation with HWBOT and partners Open Benchtable, Seasonic and Thermal Grizzly, OC Showdown Round 2 requires overclockers to compete over three stages: XTU, Reference Clock and Y-cruncher 1B.
OC Showdown Formula Series invites overclockers from HWBOT’s Rookie, Novice and Enthusiast leagues to compete using any ASUS- or ASUS ROG-branded motherboard, and to cool using only stock air- or water-based equipment. No extreme-cooling equipment or techniques are permitted in the Formula Series Round 2, and overclockers of all abilities are invited to enter.
Prizes will be awarded to the three top-performing contestants with an additional ‘underdog prize’ awarded to the participant that has the comic honor of turning in the lowest overall score.

ROG RealBench Challenge: III commences on 28th October and IV on 25th November

Using the RealBench HWBOT Edition benchmark, overclockers have to submit their best score to the competition page at http://oc-esports.io.
RealBench Challenge invites any overclocker using an ASUS- or ASUS ROG-branded motherboard to enter using only stock air- or water-based cooling equipment. Core temperatures must be a minimum of 30°C, and no extreme-cooling equipment or techniques will be allowed.

Overall winners: World’s best overclockers will be crowned in December

At the conclusion of the competition scores achieved in both ROG OC Showdown Formula Series Round 1 and Round 2 will be tallied for each overclocker, with the results contributing to their overall ranking. The three top-scoring contestants will receive an exclusive prize of an upcoming a next-generation ROG motherboard, an Open Benchtable portable benchmarking kit and a Delid-Die-Mate tool for easy reapplication of thermal-interface material to the processor.
Points from RealBench Challenge I, II, III and IV will be similarly added up to create an overall ranking for each contestant. The three participants with the highest scores will each be awarded an upcoming next-generation ROG motherboard.
To confirm their victories the first-placed overall winners for both ROG OC Showdown Formula Series and RealBench Challenge will each receive an exclusive cut-glass trophy — securing their bragging rights on the global overclocking stage.
