TAIPEI, Taiwan, August 15, 2018 — ASUS today announced VivoBook S13 (S330), the first ASUS laptop to feature the four-side frameless NanoEdge display that offers a remarkable 89% screen-to-body ratio for an immersive, near-borderless viewing experience. This compact and lightweight 13.3-inch laptop is powered by up to an 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor with NVIDIA® GeForce® MX150 discrete graphics. VivoBook S13 includes the ErgoLift hinge to replicate the feel of a desktop keyboard for a more comfortable typing experience. This latest addition to the VivoBook S series is designed for the young at heart and has three gorgeous color options for users to truly express themselves.

Unrivaled immersion with the four-sided frameless NanoEdge display

VivoBook S13 is the first ASUS notebook to feature the new four-sided frameless NanoEdge display with super-thin top and side bezels that measure a mere 4.3mm. This results in an incredible 89% screen-to-body ratio for unrivaled immersion in a much more compact package. VivoBook S13 is one of the smallest 13.3-inch laptops in the market, since the NanoEdge design allows ASUS engineers to fit a 13-inch display into a typical 11-inch laptop chassis. The FHD panel includes wide-view technology and remarkable color reproduction for lifelike visuals, even when viewing the display from extreme positions. To complete the audiovisual experience, VivoBook S13 features ASUS SonicMaster technology for exceptional sound. VivoBook S13 is powered by up to an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor with up to 16GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce MX150 discrete graphics to make light work of multitasking, multimedia editing or casual gaming. It can also be specified with up to a 512GB SSD for superfast data access. Dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi provides data speeds of up to 867Mbps — 6X faster than 802.11n — for seamless video-streaming and smooth web-surfing experiences. In addition, VivoBook S13 also features Bluetooth® 4.2.

A combination of style and ergonomic design

VivoBook S13 is one of the world’s smallest 13-inch laptops, with compact dimensions — it measures just 305.8 x 196.3 x 17.9mm — and an overall weight of just 1.2kg. It features an aluminum construction and is available in three eye-catching color options: Icicle Gold, Rose Gold, and Transparent Silver. For more comfort during long typing stints, VivoBook S13 features the innovative ErgoLift hinge. This unique design automatically tilts the keyboard up by 2.5° when the laptop is opened to create the familiar feel of a desktop keyboard. The hinge also opens up extra ventilation space for more airflow around the underside of the chassis for improved cooling.

VivoBook S13 has an optional fingerprint sensor for one-touch access with Windows Hello, so logging in has never been easier or more secure. There's also has a full-size backlit keyboard that’s perfect for working in dim environments. It has a sturdy one-piece construction and 1.4mm key travel for comfortable typing. Comprehensive connectivity is provided by an array of ports including USB Type-C™ (USB-C™), USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A, and USB 2.0, HDMI output, and a microSD card reader for hassle-free compatibility with current peripherals, displays, and projectors. All VivoBook models feature a high-quality battery with up to 12-hour battery life2 for all-day computing, and a lifespan that’s up to 3X-longer than standard lithium-ion batteries3. Fast-charge technology enables users to charge a low battery to 60% in just 49 minutes.
