Global competition offers chance to win incredible prizes, including ZenFone 3 smartphones, huge cash prizes and exclusive trips to California

Taipei, Taiwan (14th September, 2016)ASUS today announced that its popular ZenTalk online destination is hosting the ZenFone Photography Awards 2016, an exciting worldwide contest that challenges talented photographers to submit their best compositions to win incredible prizes — including ZenFone smartphones, cash prizes totaling US$6,000, and four expenses-paid grand-prize trips to San Diego, California for an exclusive tour of the global headquarters of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated.
ZenFone 3, powered by a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ processor, is rapidly becoming the world’s favorite choice for mobile photography, and the competition’s two stages will provide a global showcase for the latest ASUS smartphone’s incredible photography capabilities.

Regional and global challenges: Key dates and entry websites

Promoted online using the #ZenInYourEyes hashtag, the ZenFone Photography Awards 2016 competition comprises two stages, offering photographers from anywhere in the world the chance to compete. Stage one’s regional heats are open for entries now, with the respective regional websites accepting submissions up to and including 10th October 2016. The concluding second stage — the Global Championship — is scheduled to begin on 1st November 2016 and will run to 21st November 2016. Stage one of ZenFone Photography Awards 2016 is live now, and runs until 10th October 2016. During this phase photographers will compete regionally for the chance to win a brand-new ZenFone 3 smartphone. Regional judges will be responsible for choosing and awarding the best submissions, with each victorious entrant receiving a brand-new ZenFone 3 smartphone. Photos captured with any ASUS ZenFone, PadFone or FonePad device are eligible for entry.
Throughout stage one the ASUS ZenTalk team will be conducting a variety of lucky draws to allow both participants and voters the chance to win great ASUS Zen goodies. The events include:

Following the conclusion of the first stage the judges will handpick 500 submissions from stage one for automatic entry into the ZenFone Photography Awards 2016 Global Championship. During this stage three overall winners will be chosen, with the second- and third-place runners-up respectively receiving US$2,000 and US$1,000 in cash. The first-place winner and ZenFone Photography Awards 2016 Global Champion will walk away with a US$3,000 cash prize.
As well, all entrants submitting photographs captured using any ZenFone 3-series smartphone will have the chance to win one of four grand prizes — each enjoying a five-day (four-night) trip to San Diego, California, for an exclusive tour of Qualcomm Technologies’ global headquarters. “We’re thrilled to be extending our support for ASUS in Taiwan and around the world with such an exciting opportunity,” said Jim Cathey, Qualcomm senior vice president and president, Qualcomm Asia Pacific and India. “The new line-up of ZenFone 3 smartphones, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, take photography to the next level and the ZenFone Photography Awards provide the perfect opportunity for consumers to experience this first-hand.”
