The ASUS P10S-M-DC is an Intel® Greenlow platform server board based on the Intel® C232 chipset provides dual server-class Intel® Ethernet , native 6 SATA 6G, 2 PCI Express 3.0 slots and dual M.2 with extreme power efficiency which is the best candidate for data center compute nodes. The 9.6” x 9.6” micro ATX form factor can be easily integrated in short-depth chassis to greatly increase rack compute density.
Dual M.2 Boots I/O Performance & Data Redundancy
In order to bring up better performance or back-up solution for internal OS drive scenario, we design dual M.2 spec on selected server boards. With this design, configuring dual M.2 devices as RAID 0 to boost read performance up to 84% and write performance up to 40% compared to single M.2; moreover, if users require data redundancy of OS drive, RAID 1 will be a good choice with dual M.2 storage devices.
Next-Gen Storage – NVMe Support
Next-Gen Storage technology – NVMe is where the industry is headed. By taking new NVM technology closer to the CPU with the benefits of less latency and higher maximum bandwidth, NVMe solution is the fastest internal storage interface today.
There are two solutions to implement NVMe application on P10S series. One is PCIe interface solution – directly plug the PCIeNVMe devices or through ASUS-made PCIe to U.2 adapter (ASUS PCIE-NVME1). The other is M.2 interface solution – through ASUS-made M.2 to U.2 adapter (ASUS M2-NVME1). By using mini-SAS HD to min-SAS HD cable or mini-SAS HD to SFF-8639 cable, the ASUS-made PCIe to U.2 or M.2 to U.2 adapters offer flexible NVMe upgrade package on different usage scenario.

Optional PIKE II 3x08 Series SAS 12Gb/s solution
ASUS PIKE II 3x08 series is the latest 12Gb/s SAS and PCI-E 3.0 high reliability enterprise storage solution. It meets users’ needs with support 12Gb/s SAS storage and various RAID levels data protection. Just placing the PIKE II card, P10S Series can immediately enlarge the capacity and improve the performance, making it the great upgrade option.
ASUS Platinum-Grade Power Efficiency
ASUS P10S-M-DC server board is designed with the titianium power solution with the hand-chosen components and provide titanium efficiency which is up to 95%. The titianum power solution consists 3 pillars to achieve the 95% platinum efficiency: 12K Ultra Longevity Solid Capacitor ,Beat Thermal Choke III and Digi+ VRM. 12K solid capacitors which is able to withstand up to 1,200,000 hours of temperatures as high as 65°C (12K hours@105°C). The 3rd generation Beat Thermal Choke with lower DCR and result in 3℃-lower choke temperatures enhance power efficiency. ASUS DIGI+ VRM is digital VR controller precisely provide the accurate voltage/current that CPU require to reduce switching loss. Therefore, using in non-stop server machine running 24 hours per day, it will reduce electronic cost for customers in this generation products.
Serviceability – Quick Boot
The ASUS P10 Series features quick initialization guidance which let users realize system initialization state in seconds; Turn on the power button comes with 3 key information showing on the screen at the same time: (1) progress bar showcases the booting status, (2) BMC IP address if ASMB module is mounted on the server and (3) 2-digit POST code messages are available to give users a total understanding of startup process and to clearly indicate boot-up status which is easy for troubleshooting.
Complete remote server management
The optional IPMI 2.0-compliant ASMB8-iKVM module enables remote BIOS updates, backup and restore configurations, SNMP agent support (MIBs files), audit log, and BIOS post code. With out-of-band management ASMB8-iKVM provides round-the-clock remote monitoring and diagnosis even if the server operating system is down or offline, and all through a user-friendly web-based graphical interface that works with all major browsers. In addition, ASWM Enterprise software provides one-to-multiple centralized management including BIOS flash, software dispatch, task scheduler, remote control and power control, via colorful and informative graphical interface.
