Wear-resistant paint
To preserve the device’s clean and sleek look, we use tough wear-resistant paint4 reinforced with diamond and stone powders. As well as offering enhanced adhesion, its abrasion resistance is 2.5 times greater than that of traditional polyurethane coatings.
Spill-resistant keyboard
The spill-resistant keyboard5 can withstand up to 355 c.c. of liquid, so minor spillages can be easily drained, cleaned, and dried.
Sturdy and flexible hinge
The 180° hinge allows for flexible viewing angles, enabling seamless collaboration and adaptability in any work environment. Reinforced with a bracket to enhance durability, it prevents loosening over time and has been tested to withstand up to 30,000 open-and-close cycles6.
Reinforced I/O ports
All I/O ports are secured with steel brackets, ensuring durability. They have passed 5,000 insert/remove tests6 to ensure reliable performance during daily work scenarios, such as connecting peripherals, transferring data, and charging devices.
Easy-to-service design
The redesigned bottom case7 features just four screws for easy disassembly and quick access to components, with captive screws preventing loss for added convenience.
The device also uses a screwless battery-latching8 system, using a bracket to secure the battery and eliminating the need for screws, allowing for tool-free maintenance and preventing battery compromise.

- ASUS keyboard is spill-resistant, not waterproof. Water damage is possible if the product is submerged or exposed to large amounts of waters for long periods of time. ASUS standard limited warranty does not cover problems resulting from accidents such as water damage. To prevent water damage resulting from large spills or other accidents, ASUS recommends turning off the notebook, then tilting the laptop to drain away the excess water, wipe off and let it dry for at least 24 hours.
↑
- The testing regime includes the requirements of both military-grade standards and ASUS quality tests, and varies depending on device. MIL-STD-810 testing is conducted on selected ASUS products only. Note that the MIL-STD-810 testing helps to ensure the quality of ASUS products but does not indicate a particular fitness for military use. The test is performed under laboratory conditions. Any damage caused by attempts to replicate these test conditions would be considered accidental, and would not be covered by the standard ASUS warranty. Additional coverage is available with ASUS Premium Care/ ASUS Business Support.
