      ASUS RS720A-E9-RS12V2 is built on the brand-new AMD EPYC™ 7002 platform to deliver incredible server performance. With up to 64 cores per CPU and up to 128 threads in a single 2U server, RS720A-E9-RS12V2 packs incredible power in minimal space. 32 DIMM slots provide best-in-class memory capacity and bandwidth, and an integrated I/O controller on the processor eliminates the data transfer bottlenecks caused by discrete I/O chipsets for reduced latency and dramatically faster system performance.

      To effectively manage the storage demands of growing amounts of data, RS720A-E9V2 supports for up to 12 hot-swap 3.5-inch SATA/SAS drives in the front and 12 3.5-inch and 2 optional 2.5-inch drives in the back, making it an adaptable architecture for diverse workloads. Two M.2 slots that accommodate 22110-size SSDs for additional storage options.

      8 + 1 expansion slots

      ASUS RS720A-E9-RS12V2 features seven full-height PCIe 3.0 x16 slots (x8 mode). Six of these slots can be paired together to enable three PCIe 3.0 x16 mode configurations. RS720A-E9-RS12V2 also comes with one low-profile PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (x16 mode) and one OCP Mezzanine 2.0 slot (x16 mode) for OCP LAN cards. With its flexible expandability, RS720A-E9-RS12V2 fits a wide range of storage and networking applications, and provides high scalability in a 2U server.

      User-friendly and energy-efficient design

      RS720A-E9-RS12V2 features numerous user-friendly design features that simplify server maintenance. Two M.2 slots that accommodate 22110-size SSDs for additional storage options. The server's Q-code is visible from the outside of the case to make diagnosing issues easier and more convenient. A tool-less rack rail kit is included for easy server installation and removal, and a tool-less, hot-swappable fan makes for faster and simpler maintenance. RS720A-E9-RS12V2 also features an energy-efficient design that eliminates the power-sharing board for reduced power consumption and operation costs.

      Comprehensive IT infrastructure management

      RS720A-E9-RS12V2 features an embedded iKVM module and is bundled with ASUS Control Center to provide comprehensive out-of-band and in-band management features for small and mid-size businesses.

      The embedded ASMB9-iKVM module supports remote BIOS updates, fan control, standalone KVMs, video recording, and BSOD capture, providing around-the-clock remote monitoring and diagnostics — even if the operating system is down or offline — through a user-friendly, web-based graphical interface that works with all major browsers.

      ASUS Control Center (ACC) is a centralized and integrated IT management platform for monitoring and controlling ASUS commercial products, including servers, workstations and digital signage. ACC enables remote BIOS updates, monitoring of multiple systems via mobile devices, and one-click software updates and dispatching, allowing easier server management for any IT infrastructure.

      Featuring two innovative intelligent detection technologies and multi-fan zone design, ASUS Thermal Radar 2.0 places different sensors on the CPU, GPU, DIMM, HDD and in other areas to collect localized heating information to designate dedicated fan flow automatically to reduce consumption of overall fan capacity.
