ASUS launches new ZenBook 14 (UM425/UX425) with AMD and Intel options in Finland

ZenBook 14 is the world’s thinnest 14" laptop with full I/O ports, powered by 10th gen. Intel Core CPU’s or the brand new 4th gen. AMD Ryzen CPU’s. It is featuring a redesigned edge-to-edge keyboard, four-sided NanoEdge display and have a rehauled connectivity array with USB-C charging, DisplayPort and Thunderbolt 3* while keeping USB-A, MicroSD and a full-size HDMI.

Display and design
ZenBook 14 have a bright four-sided NanoEdge display, with slim bezels that create a 90% screen-to-body ratio for a more immersive viewing experience. The FHD display is our brightest 14’’ to date, at 400 nits.
The new edge-to-edge ergonomic keyboard design increases the size of the keyboard for a more comfortable typing experience. It also creates space for an extra set of useful function keys at the right-hand side of the keyboard. For maximum typing comfort, the precision engineered ErgoLift hinge automatically tilts the keyboard to an optimal typing angle when the lid is opened. This also creates space under the laptop for extra airflow.
For easy data entry, there’s the productivity-enhancing ASUS NumberPad 2.0. This is a large dual-function touchpad with an integrated LED-illuminated full-size numeric keypad. Simply tapping the icon on the touchpad turns the digital NumberPad on and off.
The touchpad on ZenBook 14 has gotten a 33% increase in size compared to previous ZenBook 14 (UX433).
An integrated infrared (IR) camera located on the top bezel makes password-free face login fast and easy with Windows Hello. It also works in dim lighting conditions, so accessing ZenBook 14 is easier and faster than ever in any environment.

ZenBook 14 harnesses the power of the latest 10th generation Intel Core processors — all the way up to the Core i7 series. These processors deliver faster, smoother and more responsive performance than the previous generation, and they’re paired with Intel Iris Plus graphics to help users blitz through daily tasks.
ZenBook 14 also launches with the new 4th generation AMD processors, up to the Ryzen 7 4700U 8-core. These processors deliver faster, smoother and more responsive performance than the previous generation, and they’re teamed with AMD Radeon graphics to get the user through their workload in a blink of an eye.
ZenBook 14 is available with up to 32 GB 3200 MHz LPDDR4x RAM and up to 1 TB PCIe SSD.

ASUS have done a major rehaul of the new ZenBook 14 lineup to achieve the best connectivity in the market with fully featured USB-C including USB-C charging, DisplayPort and Thunderbolt 3*. Uniquely for such an ultrathin design is to additionally offer comprehensive I/O capabilities, including full-size HDMI, USB-A ports and a microSD card reader. These are the world’s thinnest 14-inch laptops to offer such comprehensive and versatile connectivity. Additionally, ZenBook 14 has the latest WiFi 6 (802.11ax) to round off the specification for a superb all-round performance in connectivity. This superb I/O creates an optimal experience for a mobile- , stationary or working from home-office where additional monitors and a high performing internet connection is essential.
Due to the incredible thin chassis and the many port-options, there was not space to also include a 3.5 mm port with the relatively large DAC sitting on the inside. ASUS has therefore included a USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter in the box, to not exclude users which wired accessories. ZenBook 14 is delivered with Microsoft Windows 10 and ASUS PURE which is a slightly trimmed version, a clean operating system without bloatware or disturbances.
Incredible battery life
In such a thin chassis ASUS have managed to fit in a 67wh lithium-polymer battery for up to 22h battery life.
ZenBook 14 also supports the new ASUS USB-C Easy Charge feature, which allows it to be conveniently charged from a wide range of standard USB-C chargers. It allows users to enjoy ultrafast charging with any USB-C Power Delivery-certified charger, such as the bundled 65-watt charger, or charge at slower rates when wall sockets are unavailable using airline chargers, portable chargers such as power banks. USB-C Easy Charge can take the frustration out of any travelling in locations with limited power supply.
