TAIPEI, Taiwan, January 11, 2024 — ASUS today announced the RT-AX57 Go tri-mode travel router, a dual-band model that offers ultrafast WiFi 6 up to 3,000 Mbps. It provides tri-mode connectivity for travel, work and home, including 4G and 5G mobile tethering, public WiFi mode (WISP), router mode, subscription-free security and multiple VPN features. With support for 160 MHz WiFi channels, RT-AX57 Go can also support up to 70 devices, four times the capacity of previous models (1).

Frequent travelers often face situations where no WiFi is available. The RT-AX57 Go can provide an easy and secure connection through the mobile hotspot feature that can share WiFi with multiple devices. Travelers may also experience a limit on the number of devices that can connect to hotel or airport WiFi, and expensive connection fees. RT-AX57 Go can help sidestep these hassles by letting users easily set up private WiFi connections anywhere, whether in a hotel room, on a cruise ship, at an airport terminal, or even a recreational vehicle at a camp site.

Tri-mode connectivity

Whether users are on the move or at home, ASUS RT-AX57 Go can ensure they are always connected with its versatile connectivity options. Each mode is tailored to provide a seamless online experience, whether as a primary or backup internet connection.

Users can connect to their phone’s 4G or 5G mobile hotspot simply by connecting it to the router’s USB WAN port, establishing a connection when WiFi may be slow or unavailable otherwise, like at a campsite or while traveling in a car. And when using public WiFi with a wireless internet service provider (WISP), they can create a private hotspot with enhanced security when at the airport or on a cruise ship.

Alternatively, RT-AX57 Go can be used as a traditional router or access point for everything from a large home to a small apartment. AiMesh support allows users to easily extend WiFi coverage by adding other compatible routers to the mesh network, letting them enjoy seamless roaming with rich, advanced features. This can all be quickly set up and managed with the user-friendly ASUS Router mobile app.

Subscription-free and advanced security with VPNs

ASUS RT-AX57 Go is also packed with the protections that users have come to expect from ASUS routers, such as subscription-free network security with AiProtection Classic powered by Trend Micro™ for complete defense of devices and personal data against internet threats. The Security Scan also let users check their network integrity with just one click, with a summary and diagnoses to fix potential issues right away.

Meanwhile, ASUS Safe Browsing offers customizable protection for individual users or a group of devices with safety filters to secure online activities(2). It helps block malicious content, advertisements and even explicit content from search engine results, offering added online protection for kids.

Users can also stay informed of new or unfamiliar device connections and act swiftly to block unknown access, or group new devices to a specific user profile. They can also monitor core network data such as real-time internet traffic and router port connections diagnostics at a glance, via intuitive visualizations that offer clear insights.

ASUS RT-AX57 Go also provides comprehensive virtual private network features, including support for a wide range of the latest popular VPN protocols, including WireGuard® and OpenVPN. With support for more than 30 VPN service providers including Surfshark, users have the flexibility to select the optimal service tailored to their specific needs. The ASUS Instant Guard mobile app offers one-tap VPN connections over public WiFi (3). It also supports site-to-site VPNs, enabling small and midsized businesses to prioritize private, protected traffic.
