Troubleshooting - Why is the microphone volume still low after adjusting

Applicable Products: Notebook, Desktop, All-in-One PC

If you are facing the issue of low microphone volume even after adjusting the computer's microphone volume, please first check if your computer supports the IntelliGo audio driver. You can visit the ASUS support website for your product model and check if there is an IntelliGo driver available for download in the Audio Driver category on the Drivers & Tools page. Learn more about How to search for drivers on the ASUS official website.

Note: The complete name of the mentioned driver may vary slightly depending on the product model.

Note: If you do not see the IntelliGo audio driver on the support website for your product model, it means that your computer does not support it. Refer to this article to troubleshoot audio issues: Troubleshooting - Sound (Speaker/Microphone) problems.

When your computer supports IntelliGo audio and you have previously removed the Realtek Audio device, you may need to reinstall the IntelliGo, Dirac, and Dolby audio drivers to avoid microphone volume issues.

  3. If the Realtek Audio driver does not appear in Device Manager, please download and install the latest version of the Realtek audio driver from the ASUS support website for your product model. Learn more about How to search for drivers on the ASUS official website and How to install drivers.
  4. After installing the Realtek audio driver, go back to the ASUS support website for your product model and download and install the IntelliGo, Dirac, and Dolby audio drivers.
Note: The support for IntelliGo, Dirac, and Dolby audio drivers may vary depending on the product model. You can check which audio devices are available for download on the support website to see if they are supported.

  5. After installing the IntelliGo, Dirac, and Dolby audio drivers, click the arrow next to the [Audio Processing Objects (APOs)] device typeto see if your installed audio devices are listed
