    Worth Buying

“Well-built and fully-featured, the ASUS ROG Strix Z390-I Gaming is a sensible choice for an Intel-based mini-ITX build.” more

    TUF Z390-PLUS GAMING (WI-FI)

    RECOMMENDED

“Ultimately the price difference largely accounts for the extra hardware offered by the Asus board, namely Wi-Fi and a better audio processor, so there's actually very little difference between the two unless USB 3.1 is a priority - MSI wins easily there. Still, with solid performance and overclocking too, we can definitely recommend the Asus TUF Z390-Plus Gaming (Wi-Fi), and it's worth noting that the non-WiFi version retails for a more reasonable £140 too.” more

    ROG MAXIMUS XI GENE

    EXTREME AWARD

“What it has delivered is exactly what many of us wanted - a flagship board that overclocks like a trooper and makes you go 'phwoar!', but Asus hasn't just included features for the sake of it - they're genuinely useful for both extreme overclockers and those looking to splash a couple of grand or more on a PC designed to turn heads. The ROG Strix Z390-I Gaming had hints of this, but the new Gene hits the nail on the head - so much so that we don't really care how much it is, we just want one, and that's exactly the feeling a true ROG board should inspire.” more
