Lift Your Airflow
In order to increase airflow through the ultra-slim chassis of our highest end Zephyrus laptops, our original Active Aerodynamic System (AAS) lifted to expose a small vent beneath the chassis. AAS Plus pushes that concept further, opening up a 28.5mm high air intake behind the tilted secondary display that increases airflow by 30%. Instead of drawing in air from below where warmer components have a greater effect on intake flow, allowing our fans to draw cooler air from above. The larger space also helps keep noise levels below 43dB on performance mode, giving you a quieter gaming experience.
Liquid Metal Thermal Compound
Liquid metal compound from Thermal Grizzly reduces CPU temperatures by up to 14°C* compared to standard thermal paste. The right amount must be applied meticulously for the best results, so we commissioned custom equipment that automates the process with mechanical precision. The block that sits on the CPU also has a special internal fence that prevents liquid metal from leaking out over time.
Ultrathin Fins
Thermal energy is dissipated by 4 heatsinks, each lined with ultrathin copper fins as slim as 0.15mm. These fins are half the size of typical solutions, allowing for higher density to increase surface area for heat dissipation and lower air resistance to allow for smoother flow. There are 252 heatsink fins totaling 110,328mm2 of surface area.
Comprehensive Heatpipes
Five heatpipes pull heat away from not only the CPU and GPU, but also the circuitry supplying them with power. Reducing the temperature of these power components helps improve long-term stability and reliability.
Scenario Profiles
Expertly tuned system profiles let you quickly adapt to different scenarios using a convenient keyboard shortcut. With the highest fan speed and frequencies, Turbo mode is the best for CPU-intensive workloads like video editing and 3D rendering. Performance mode optimizes performance and cooling to lower noise levels under 40 dB while gaming. Silent mode goes further to take acoustics below 35 dB for lighter workloads like watching movies.

Easy-Upgrade Design
An easy-upgrade design simplifies system memory and storage modifications. Removing the pop-open screw pushes the bottom of the chassis away from the body. The hooks holding those edges together are smaller and stronger than before, with a looser fit that makes it easier to lift off the panel. All of your SO-DIMM and SSD slots are readily accessible beneath the bottom panel, making modifications easy.
