ASUS Philippines created the ASUS Edukasyon School Partnership Program to help schools and learning institutions produce graduates with technological competencies, professionalism, and resilience demanded in the new workplace.

According to Mitch Andaya, iACADEMY VP for Institutional Planning and Accreditation and Dean of School of Computing, there has been a shortage in tech talent produced by schools in the Philippines.

“How do we meet the demand and the answer is simple–let’s expand the definition of tech people. Tech people are not just Com-Sci and IT, they could be business people, they could be liberal arts people, they could be arts (people), and that’s what we’ve been doing in iACADEMY,” he explained.

“This partnership with ASUS will definitely help us in our objective of producing these technology-enabled, technology-empowered game changers,” Andaya mentioned.

Francis Avila, ASUS Philippines-SYS Commercial Business Lead, ensured that the tech giant’s products and programs are relevant to customers’ need “towards the main objective of teaching and learning upgrade.”

“We also know that education in the Philippines has to evolve, making sure to remove all boundaries between teachers and students, which is why technology and innovation is important now more than ever,” Avila mentioned.

George Su, ASUS Country Manager, believes that both institutions’ vision for the future of technology and education are aligned.

“As education advances, ASUS ensures that opportunities for digital learning from schools, like iACADEMY, evolves with it. This includes our comprehensive education solutions, including laptops, desktops, and all-in-one PCs, enabling progressive learning in a fast paced world,” he shared.
