How to do if unable to add fingerprint?

1. Before adding a fingerprint, please make sure that the phone screen and the surface of your fingers are free from dirt, oil, or water stains etc.
2. When adding a fingerprint, please place your finger on the fingerprint icon, and cover the circular spot as much as possible to obtain the maximum fingerprint area, which will help the system to capture the fingerprint image.
3. When adding a fingerprint, please moderately adjust the contact position of your finger and press it slightly without excessive force or rotation. In this way, the area of fingerprint scanning can be increased, and the success rate of unlocking will be higher.
4. Please avoid only using your fingertips to scan. If the area of the fingerprint scanning is too small, the unlocking success rate may decrease.
5. After pressing, please keep your finger on the screen until you feel a slight vibration before moving your finger and perform the next pressing.
6. If the skin of your fingers is easy to peel or your fingerprints are shallow and unclear, it is recommended that you add more fingerprints in the phone.

How to do if always failed in adding fingerprint? 

If fingerprint scanning is not easy to succeed, please follow the steps below for troubleshooting:

1. Make sure if any screen protector film is attached.

Fingerprint scanning under the screen works by capturing the reflection of finger fingerprints by strong light. If the attached screen protector film is too thick or the light transmittance tare is too low, it will affect the penetration of light, resulting in weakening of the signal received by the sensor, thus affecting fingerprint scanning Success rate.

If you need to install screen protector film, it is recommended to select a screen ptotector film with a thickness of less than 0.20mm, a transmittance of greater than 90%, and a haze of less than 1% to get a better fingerprint recognition effect.

If you still encounter a problem that fingerprints are not easy to succeed, it is recommended that you remove the security sticker to confirm whether the machine is abnormal.

2. Make sure there is no dirt, oil or water stains on the phone screen and finger surface when unlocking the screen.

If you unlock the screen when your finger or the screen surface is dirty, it will affect the success rate of fingerprint scanning, so please keep your fingers and the screen fingerprint area clean when unlocking the screen.

3. Fingerprint scanning is not sensitive to unlock the screen after washing hands or bathing

Washing hands with cleaning liquid, alcohol or taking a bath will cause the surface of the fingers to dry or wrinkled. At this time, using the under-screen fingerprint to unlock will affect the unlocking success rate. Therefore, it is recommended that you use other unlocking methods such as passwords or graphics or wait a while until the skin of finger get better before using fingerprints to unlock.

4. When the ambient temperature is low or the skin of fingers is dry

When the temperature is low or the skin of finger is dry, the moisture on the surface of the finger will decrease, and the drying will make the fingerprint less obvious, thus affecting the success rate of fingerprint unlocking. It is recommended that you use lotion to moist your fingers and then try again.

5. Unlocking the screen under strong light

The fingerprint scanning under the screen adopts an optical fingerprint scheme, which may cause interference under strong light, resulting in deterioration of fingerprint image quality and affecting the success rate of fingerprint unlocking. It is recommended that you moderately increase the pressing force in a strong light environment, and allow your fingers to cover the light spot as much as possible to improve the scanning rate.

6. The screen is damaged

The fingerprint scanning under the screen adopts an optical fingerprint scheme, which requires the screen to provide a stable high-brightness light source. If the screen is damaged, which affects the brightness or the surface of the fingerprint area is damaged, it will directly affect the imaging quality of the fingerprint and the unlocking success rate. Therefore, it is recommended to go to the service center for further assistance.
