[Notebook] Troubleshooting - Abnormal Accumulation of Storage Space in C:\Windows\Temp After Windows Update 26200.7462
Applicable Products: Notebook PCs equipped with AMD CPUs (Strix Point, Strix Halo, Gorgon Point, Kraken Point platforms)
If, after updating your computer to Windows OS Build 26200.7462, you notice that each reboot creates approximately 0.2 to 0.4GB of temporary files under C:\Windows\Temp, and these files are not subsequently removed automatically, they may accumulate over time and steadily reduce the available space on your system drive (C:).
This issue is primarily related to the Workload Session Host process failing to shut down properly during system restart. Under normal termination, the cleanup mechanism operates as expected; however, during the reboot sequence, the relevant handling is not executed correctly, causing temporary files to remain and continue piling up.
AMD and Microsoft are currently working together to resolve this issue. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

If these temporary files have already affected your storage space, please delete them manually by following the steps below:
- Go to C:\Windows, then double-click the [Temp] folder①. If you see the message 「You don’t currently have permission to access this folder.」, click [Continue]②.

- Select all files in the Temp folder③, then click [Delete]④.

- Click [Yes]⑤ to confirm deletion.

- If you see the message 「The action can’t be completed because the file is open.」, click [Skip]⑥.
Note: Some Temp files may still be in use by background services, which is normal.
- Once deletion is complete, your storage space will be freed.

If the issue persists, please contact the ASUS Customer Service Center for further assistance.
