[Notebook] How to upgrade from ScreenPad 1.0 to ScreenPad 2.0

Upgrade method:

  1. Click the [Start Menu]①, then execute the [ASUS LiveUpdate]②.
    If your computer doesn't install the ASUS LiveUpdate tool, please go to Step-3 to upgrade ScreenPad via Asus ScreenPad 2.0 Upgrade Tool.
  2. Click the [Recommended update]③ in the Asus LiveUpdate.
  3. With [Asus ScreenPad 2.0 Upgrade Tool] selected④, click [Install]⑤.
    Note : The upgrade process will not begin until after clicking the [Install]⑤ icon.

    If there is no the recommended update of ASUS ScreenPad 2.0 Upgrade Tool in the Asus LiveUpdate.  Please go to the ASUS Support Site to download and execute [ASUS ScreenPad 2.0 Upgrade Tool], and then continue to next. Here you can learn more about How to search and download utilities.
  4. Approximately 15 minutes is required for the upgrade process to complete.  Click [Next]⑥.
    Note: This upgrade is irreversible.
  5. Three prerequisites need to be met in order for the upgrade⑦ to proceed.  Click [Upgrade]⑧ to start the upgrade process.
    Note: If the prerequisite shows as , but you are unable to begin the upgrade, please reconfirm that all the prerequisites have been met.  
  6. During the process, BIOS will be updated and the PC will restart four times.  Do not shut down the PC.

    LCD will flash a few times during the process, which is normal.  Do not shut down the PC.

    If you receive the following error message, please click OK.  During the upgrade process, the notification may pop up due to some ScreenPad 1.0 functions cannot be used, which is normal and will not cause any issues with the upgrade.
  7. Click the APP [Icon]⑨, to go to the Microsoft Store.  Then select [Get] to install ASUS Keyboard Hotkey⑩.  After the installation is finished, please go back to the upgrade process and select [Next]⑪.
    Note: If it shows  above the [Icon], this means your PC has already installed the APP.  Please ignore ⑨ and ⑩, then select [Next]⑪ directly.
  8. Click the app [Icon]⑫, to go to the Microsoft Store, then select [Get] to install ScreenXpert⑬.  After the installation is finished, please go back to the upgrade process and select [Next]⑭.
    Note: If it shows above the [Icon], this means your PC has already installed the APP. Please ignore ⑫ and ⑬, then select [Next]⑭ directly.
  9. Update completed.  Click [Finish]⑮ to start ScreenPad 2.0.
