ASUS Launches Vivobook Pro 15X OLED and Vivobook Pro 16X
Fremont, California, (September 27, 2022) - ASUS today launched high-performance creator laptops in the Vivobook Pro series for aspiring creators: the 15.6-inch Vivobook Pro 15X OLED (K6501) and the 16-inch Vivobook Pro 16X (N7601).
These laptops feature high-performance components, including up to a 12th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 H-series processor with up to 32 GB of DDR5 RAM, studio-grade NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3060 graphics, and an ultrafast 1 TB PCIe® 4.0 SSD. The new ASUS IceCool Pro and IceCool Plus cooling systems allow sustained peak CPU performance at up to a 140-watt thermal design power (TDP)1.
Vivobook Pro 15X OLED has up to a 120 Hz 2.8K OLED HDR 16:9 display while the Vivobook Pro 16X is available with a 165 Hz WQUXGA 16:10 display. These world-leading 500-nit2 NanoEdge slim-bezel displays are all PANTONE® Validated and have a cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. For enhanced eye care, they also have TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue-light emissions.
Creator-focused features include the innovative ASUS DialPad3 and a full set of high-speed I/O ports4 including 40 Gbps Thunderbolt™ 4 USB-C®, full-function USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C®, USB 3.2 Gen 2 and/or Gen 1 Type-A, and HDMI® 2.1, along with a microSD Express 7.1 card reader and a 2.5 Gbps LAN port. A fingerprint sensor on the power button and a physical webcam shield enhance security and privacy.
All three models have a Harman Kardon-certified Dolby Atmos® audio system, with a smart amplifier for powerful, distortion-free sound. A three-microphone array incorporates ASUS AI Noise-Canceling Technology for enhanced conference calls. Crystal-clear video communications are enabled by the FHD webcam with ASUS 3D Noise Reduction (3DNR) technology, and the full-size ASUS ErgoSense keyboard ensures comfortable typing. For added hygiene on Vivobook Pro 15X OLED, ASUS Antibacterial Guard5 protects all frequently touched surfaces.

The three-sided (Vivobook Pro 15X OLED) or four-sided (Vivobook Pro 16X) NanoEdge design has ultraslim bezels that maximize the screen-to-body ratio for more immersive visuals. The OLED displays feature up to a 120 Hz refresh rate with a 0.2 ms response time for smooth, natural-looking visuals.
The displays on Vivobook Pro 15X OLED are VESA DisplayHDR True Black 550 certified for deep blacks and an ultra-high up to 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, ensuring maximum visible detail in dark scenes. All the OLED displays are PANTONE Validated for professional-grade color accuracy, have a cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, an average Delta-E of less than two6, and are TÜV Rheinland certified for eye-friendly low blue-light emissions and flicker-free operation. Additionally, the new ASUS Splendid technology allows users to select the color gamut to suit different creative tasks: they can choose from the ultravivid native sRGB color setting for creating web content or browsing, DCI-P3 for cinematic content, or Display P3 for movie-grade colors adjusted to fit everyday viewing in the real world. The exclusive ASUS DialPad is a virtual rotary control on the mega-sized touchpad that puts creators in full control of parameter adjustments in compatible Adobe® creative software or custom functions in any other apps, so they can stay fully focused on the task at hand. It can be customized via the ProArt Creator Hub, which also gives users full access to other creator-related settings and features including performance modes and screen calibration.

A complete set of I/O ports1 covers all connectivity needs, from using existing peripherals to adding external displays and projectors. The HDMI 2.1 port can connect to up to a 4K 120 Hz or an 8K 60 Hz monitor; the USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Gen 1 Type-A ports offer broad compatibility; and the Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port supports fast charging, 4K external displays and up to 40 Gbps data transfers. A microSD Express 7.1 card reader allows fast and easy data exchange, and the 2.5 Gbps RJ-45 LAN port provides added flexibility for high-speed wired network connections.
The full-size ASUS ErgoSense keyboard has an optimum bounce and travel calculated with fine-tuned precision. The keys have a long 1.4 mm travel, and the keycaps have a 0.2 mm dish for comfort. With a physical webcam shield and built-in fingerprint sensor on the power button, the new models also provide direct and time-saving privacy and security.
For the ultimate toughness, Vivobook Pro 15X and Pro 16X have been tested to meet the ultra-demanding MIL-STD-810H US military standard for reliability and durability. They have also passed ASUS laptop stress tests that far exceed the standards set by the industry.
Smart technology
With the increase in remote working and video conferencing, we’ve strengthened the ASUS AI Noise-Canceling Technology in Vivobook Pro 15X OLED and Pro 16X with a built-in three-microphone array to further enhance 360° sound reception. The technology employs machine learning to isolate unwanted noise from human speech. Via the MyASUS app, users can switch between the Microphone Single-Presenter mode, which can filter out ambient noise, and Multi-Presenter mode which picks up all individual voices from different positions for optimum group conference-call quality. In addition, the AI Noise-Canceling Speaker feature filters out all ambient noise apart from human speech — so users can hear what everyone else is saying.
An FHD webcam, ASUS 3DNR technology, and the new webcam effects in MyASUS take the video-calling experience to the next level. 3DNR significantly upgrades the webcam image clarity, with a unique algorithm that sharpens images and performs real-time de-noising to make sure everything looks crisp and clear during video calls.
