Pixel Acceptance Detail

LCD panels are made up of millions of micro electronic pixels. If one pixel is no longer lit, it will become a bright or dark pixel. By ISO 13406-2 standards, ASUS conforms to the acceptance spot level which lies between 3 to 5 bright/dark pixel defects. In order to deliver ultimate vision experience to you, panels that contain less than or equal to the above number of spots, then it is considered an acceptable LCD monitor. Please refer Bright/Dark Spot Acceptance Detail below:

  • Total combined bright and dark sub-pixel defects (5 max)

2 bright dots, 2 dark dots     Your monitor is functional
2 bright dots, 4 dark dots     Your monitor qualifies for RMA
0 bright dots, 4 dark dots     Your monitor is functional
0 bright dots, 6 dark dots     Your monitor qualifies for RMA
