Work Smarter not Harder on ZenUI : Part 1

After the release of Android M, we have seen that a lot of Applications being discontinued from Asus device's. While some are discontinued completely few are accessible through playstore. I had covered a lot of App's in my previous article that shows how App's can help you be more productive while you want to enjoy your smartphone experience. Today we will be looking into how the UI & its supported App's can help you work smarter & not harder. Before we jump into App's directly let us see few cool features of Zen UI the UI, which is the most Important feature in any device, whether its a Desktop PC running Windows or a smartphone which is a small affordable Desktop PC for many. UI plays an important part because before you see a device spec or the price the UI is the one thing which can blow your mind & the App's which the UI can offer is a bonus. To make Zen UI more awesome & better few App's was discontinued so that the UI remain's smooth & user finds it light enough.

So here are few interesting features what Zen UI offer's:

1. Simplicity - Zen UI offer's a ton of features where you can completely change the look & feel of the device, where few user's might find it heavy & might want simple & intuitive UI, so for this user's there's features like one hand mode where you can put all your App's right on your screen no need to open App drawer or find the App, it's all under one place. Depending on the way you want to place the App.

2. App's for all need - Zen UI offer's a ton of App's with a variety of selections. App's which you might think should have been there Zen UI has it. There's an App in each & every possible category.

3. Secure - Zen UI also has all the security mode's from locking your App's to locking your home screen. The new way to unlock your device with the super fast Fingerprint sensor. You can easily lock your App's using the UI inbuilt lock screen feature.

There's a lot of cool features on the Zen UI, but the list just doesn't end, so without further a do let's jump into the App's which makes the cool UI more better & make's your life easier.

1. Asus Zen Link - Asus has an Application called shared link through which you can share any type of file with Android device or PC, but this application is limited to devices running Android M. For newer device's that run Android N there's ZenLink which has similar features with better UI & a few more features also ZenLink will be more stable & UI optimized for better performance.

i. Transfer file's & content easily across device's.
ii. No need of internet for sharing files as it uses Wifi hotspot to share files between device's.
iii. We often find it difficult to share links with a PC or any other device use ZenLink to share links, phone numbers & text messages.
iv. You even get notified when your device is connected to PC & you can reply through a PC, this helps you to work smarter not harder.

2. Asus File Manager - Asus File Manager is just not a normal file manager App, it has a ton of features to save your time. From File transfer to inbuilt recycle bin to Hidden cabinet all these features are included in the app. Asus File Manager sort all the file's according to its category which will help you find files without a pain.

i. You dont need a separate Locking app you can use the inbuilt lock feature for hiding your files though easy to use Hidden cabinet.
ii. All your files right in one place Asus file Manager  has cloud storage integration to access file's anywhere.
iii. What's better is you get storage analyzer to check what's consuming your device space & managing them accordingly.

Right from Tracking mobile data consumption to keeping the device's battery in check to handling App's which run under background. i. Simplified UI to keep a tab on everything.

Thanks, these are very useful App's that makes things simple.

Asus Mobile Manager has been really helpful, others are also good.

Something which i miss is "Asus Backup App". The Backup Function of the App works in Android Marshmallow still that functionality was removed !!

Are there any specific reason for removing the Backup Feature ?

Thanks for your opinion much appreciated, the reason for removing backup app was the compatibility & the version limitation that's why it was removed. I have made an article for new ways to backup but I know it cant match the Asus backup app functionality.
