Alas, adoptable storage runs very unstable on my Asus ZenPad S3 10 tablet under Android 6.0 with a SanDisk Ultra 128GB microsd. And since this device can't be unlocked or rooted without a bootloader key provided by Asus, I can't run any large apps or games with obb data files off the SD formated as external storage. Asus, would you consider releasing that key to the purchasers of this tablet so we can at least use the SD as portable storage and run obb files off of it? Thank you.
Hi Brother, couple of questions regarding this -
1. No warranty issue in doing this setup?
2.Are we free to eject SD card safely at any moment of time?
3. After this setup we will be forced to use only one SIM?

I dont know about warranty ,
but after applying this method, you are still able to use both sim card normally, as far as i know, never eject the sd card if u use this method.
Does someone know if this will work on my Zenpad 10 Z300M tablet ? I'm on Nougat 7.0
I really need to be able to transfer some application to my SD Card since 16 Gb is not big enough fo all app that I would need. thanks
2. Step 6 didn't happen automatically on my device. I had to make the pop up window appears by running a query command, e.g. "adb devices -l" (without the quotes).
3. After formatting (step 14) it asks to move the data. I chose "Move data now" instead of later.
4. Never ever do a Migrate data as indicated in the Must Read section, after doing it once as I did above. It will fill up the Internal Storage again with no way of reverting.
I learned this the hard way and had to factory reset my device and start all over again.
Moving apps one at a time is safe. Some apps can't be moved but there's a workaround: just reinstall them.
