Few folks have said that android m is not supported on asus zenfone 5. Is it true? Better start working on android m from now onwards , we would pleased to get that update.

Google has not yet released Android M.
Android M has been previewed by Developers at Google I/O on May 28,2015.
Original Android M will be released to the next Nexus Device on November,2015.
It depends upon ASUS developers to decide to provide the update or not.
If they decide to provide the update,you will get it approximately in May-June,2016.
everything will start all over again? the schedule... reschedule ....postpone .... strange way of distributing the update and upgrade files ...
it will be like another episode of a never ending nightmare
right now all I need is the stable lollipop, with no overheat issue, with no batt-power sucker in my Z5, with no preinstalled apps that cannot be disabled and keep on being active at the background.
if this nightmare is not going to be over, I will get it over myself.

I think that ASUS will not support ZeFone 4,5,6 with Android M. We will be happy if we receive Lolli 5.1 and I think that 5.1 will be the final stage for these "old" phones. I'm sure that ASUS produce new phone generation in 2016-2017 and maybe there we will see Android M. Maybe ZenFone 2 should receive Adnroid M in future...
We can be happy that ASUS released Lolli for Zen 4,5,6. This kind of support is not usual on other brands. By standard philosophy - latest Android only in flagship or newest model
