Hi Guys, Today I will try and shed some light on how to test your Zenfone 2’s hardware. This can be done to see if the hardware works fine or when you are buying a new phone in a shop or a refurbished or second hand phone.
This test will help you evaluate your phone's components. So let’s get to it now.
1. Open Calculator app on your phone, yes Calculator.
2. Enter this .12345+= as soon as you enter the equal to sign, you will see the below screen.
Over here you can see your CPU usage, Battery level & also Memory usage rate.
This above screenshot is our test interface, where we will conduct our tests as per the options given here.
So here are three links which you can click. Namely Test All, Single Test, Upload
Here 'Test All' allows you to do all tests in one go where as 'Single test' , you can choose which test to perform out of an extensive list of tests.
Upload lets you upload content and check if it works fine.
3. Let us see the Single test option, when you click on it you see following screens.
4. Over here you can perform one test at a time, So lets try the Battery test.
Click on it and you will see the below screen.
5. Now just click start button and the test will start you will see the below screen indicating that the test is being performed.
6. After the test is done, you will see the following screen upon succesfull completion of the test.
7. You can perform other test as well , In some tests you would need to follow the instructions on screen to complete the test and in some you would be needed to look at the results and make a judgement if test passed or not.
8. Now let us see Test All option, When you click on this option, it will start running all the test one by one first is the Bluetooth test refer to screenshot below.
9. Some test might need you to follow instructions to complete the tests for example below is one such test namely Touch Test, where you need to touch the screen and later make a judgment wheter the test failed or passed based on how the test went.
10.For Gsensor Test, you need to move your mobile as per the instructions given onscreen, which I was not able to do perfectly but my friend got it done so I'm sharing both our screenshots here.
To get this test passed you need to rotate your phone in X, Y & Z axis
11. Light Sensor test, In this test you need to take your phone near a source of light, or flash a light on your phone with help of torch or other phone's flashlight near the ASUS logo as that’s where the light sensor is situated.
11. Here is a screen shot of my test results.
I failed the GSensor test as I couldnot successfully move the phone along its axis as required, but one of my friend could & have posted a screenshot of his passing test above and Mouse test failed as I don’t have a mouse to attach it and perform this test as with SD card test and sim 2 test.
Guys do let me know your results via screen shots in the comments section below.
Hope you find this article helpful.
