【ZenFone 2 ZE551ML】Android 6.0 Marshmallow update

"System Update File Detected" notification does not appear. help please

I have already rooted my zenfone 2 ze551ml model. I want to experience android M on my device. What will I do....

Can anyone tell me when will update be available through update app on ze551

So i downkoaded the fike and unzipped it to root rebooted the phone and yet tried the system update but still there's none. Is there any other way to update this?

To be honest I've given up and lost all faith in Asus due to broken promises. We were told when I bought my ZE551ML that it would get updated to Lollipop 5.1 to resolve battery issues. Despite many OTA updates, a year later and my phone is still on Android 5 so I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for an OTA Marshmallow update, either take the risk and update manually or leave your phone on Android 5 seem to be the only two options. I'm now getting spammed by Asus to upgrade to the new ZenFone 3, not a chance in a million if they can't be straight with their customers and stop promises that never come to fruition. I rather stick with Lollipop 5 than update to an unstable Marshmallow 6, at least my phone runs flawlessly right now and I'm not going to put that at risk unless Asus FINALLY get round to offering an OTA official update.

I bought 5 of these for my family and 1 for a friend with the imminent promise of 6.0 almost a year ago.

Now this update comes out and doesn't work.  Performed steps as described but it doesn't recognize or ask to do the update.

Incredibly disappointed.  Will NEVER buy from Asus again since their support is built on nothing but lies.

We have the exact same problem.  I think this update is fake or they didn't test it.

When can we get an answer on the problems we are having trying to update?

Multiple people have downloaded this and are not getting the update message so we are stuck on 5.0.

Ppl, don't install this MM. Several bugs as related, giroscopic sensor, compass sensor, proximity sensor.... all bugged, now back to lolipop. Besides, several people around mentioning  problem like sim internet, call problems and sound problems.... i give a try and install. But.... moving back to lolipop now.
