I have the same issues on Zenfone 2 ZE551 ML. Factory Reset did not solve my issues.

1. Zenfone 2 freezes randomly and reboots. Seen this while receiving calls, making calls and receiving SMS.

2. Proximity, Gravity, Linear Acceleration, Microphone etc. not working. (Tested with Elixir)

3. Not able to unlock or take calls. Screen freezes randmonly.

Marshmallow update seems to be very unstable. (WW - UL-Z00A-WW-4.21.40.134-user.zip)

Contacting Asus with these details on Support did not work. They only gave standard responses and to visit service center!!

Recommend everyone not to update to initial M release for now.

Waiting for MR releases for Marshmallow with these fixes.

updated to V2.20.40.196  via the System Update i have Download and copy ...

just rename it...then restart your fone...

I have downloaded android 6.0 marshmallow update manually but no "system update file detected" appeared. Suggest mesomething please.

whats up Asus... android nougat is coming and we are still not close in getting marshmallow on our Zenfone 2. whats up with the delay? we are waiting for the auto update.

Please paste UL-Z00A-WW-4.21.40.134-user.zip file on your sd card.
Then shutdown and start phone in recovery mode that choose update from sd card then browse and choose file UL-Z00A-WW-4.21.40.134-user.zip it will start updating the system.

UPDATED TO 6.0.1 WITH NO ISSUE.
AWESOME BATTERY BACKUP NOW.
WITHOUT ANY DELETION OF PREVIOUS APPS.
THE ONLY ISSUE IS UNABLE TO DELETE GOOGLE APP LIKE PLAY MOVIE... PLEASE SOLVE THIS ISSUE ASUS WE DONT WANT SUCH USELESS BOLT-WARES
