The most important factor in buying a new device is making sure you have the best smartphone for you. Build quality and screen sizes aside, the choices for every user usually boils down to four important points: performance, photography, entertainment, and battery life.
Performance
Android smartphones have gone from sluggish single-core CPUs that struggled to open even just the SMS app, to quad and octa-core powerhouses that zip through even the latest, most graphically intensive games. Multi-taskers and gamers usually won't get disappointed with today's smartphone performance, but of course, some demand more performance than others.
Photography
Smartphone camera technology has nearly replaced point-and-shoot digital cameras with comparable performance, coupled with some extra help from photo editing apps. But not all smartphone cameras are equal, which is why it's very important for photography enthusiasts to choose the right cameraphone for their needs.
Entertainment
Do you like to listen to music, watch movies and TV shows on your Android device? Then you'd want the smartphone with a big, bright and colorful display, loud speakers and clear audio quality. Most smartphones skimp on the entertainment department for raw specs, which is why it's very important to choose the right model if you're a media junkie, or risk getting a subpar audio and video experience.
Battery life
Smartphone batteries don't last forever, and some devices have an almost-embarrassing screen-on time. This is why smartphones with huge 4000-5000mAh batteries have been selling like hotcakes, because they enable users to do more without having to worry about running out of juice or tethering their device to a hefty powerbank.
So which of the four are the most important for you? Performance, photography, entertainment, or battery life? Or perhaps you'd like an all-arounder smartphone that can deliver on all four points? Let us know.
