Touch not working in Asus Zenfone 2

The touch gets hanged in the phone. I cant even 'Switch On' the screen by double tapping,when i try to turn on the screen with the power button i am not able to unlock the screen as the touch is hanged.Even the button at the bottom of the screen doesnt work.For 5-10 min the phone doesnt respond and then suddenly it starts working.What might be the problem ? and How can it be solved ? Please suggest. Thanks in advance. I am unable to take a screenshot as the touch is not responsive.

suggest you to follow below steps and confirm,
1.check with latest OTA update version,
2.latest ZenUI/APP update,
3.Wipe cache partition,
4.if still issue persist perform factory reset after data/app backup.

I have the same problem. Sometimes, the screen opens by itself too.

Hi,  I am facing this problem I am unable to receive calls  When the screen is locked or even when I am working and suddenly if any call comes, I try to slide my screen but the screen does not response, as a result I am unable to receive the call. Then I have to wait for 2 to 5 minutes to get the screen responsive.

facing the same issue from last 3 days ...

Same issue,  I faced it lot of times,  each time have to reboot device to get it work.

Same here, screen also presses buttons on its own at times

i also facing same problem phone get hangs sometimes while charging or any graphical activity like camera game
