There were a planet full of rumors waving around almost everywhere. There was a huge gessing game going on but, almost everyone had a common name in their mind. Finally today, Google's Android 8 (Android O) got it's official name.
This new version of Android has been named Android Oreo.
So yeah, no surprises here. Everyone kinda expected that it's going to be Oreo. Then some source codes broke the silence as well. So, we all kinda knew that it's a sweet Oreo coming our way.
So, ASUS has already confirmed that Android Oreo will hit both the Zenfone 3 & Zenfone 4 series. I don't know about the exact timings but, all the devices should get this update before the First Half of 2018 ends. It can be quicker though but, as I already told you, no one knows the exact timings.
The good news for Zenfone 3 series owners is that, along with Android Oreo, they'll also get the full ZenUI 4.0 update. So, ZenUI 4.0 should also improve the overall user experience. The Zenfone 4 Series however will come quipped with ZenUI 4.0 out of the box & also get the Android O upgrade via. FOTA.
