Okay, this might be a Stupid question or not. But I'm not that Familiar with Videography, as I am in the Realm of Photography. But here it goes.

I currently use an Zenfone 3 5.2, that is currently using the 13.20.10.152. And it alloes 1080P Recording at 60 FPS. Something I find rather Peculiar, is that when I record at 1080P With 60 FPS, It seems to Underexpose the actual Video and Quality. However when I use any other modes such as 4K, 1080P @30FPS, 720P @30FPS, 480P. The Video quality is Bright. Although yes you can say that I can just adjust the Exposure Value, or ISO Prematurely, but sometimes it just doesn't do the job, and if it can, its too Grainy and barely does it any good.

Please let me know if its normal because of 60 FPS Nature and Technology, or it might be in the Software, Camera or Processing. Thank you and have a Nice Day

Having 60fps means setting your shutter speed at a faster rate, since it has to capture more shots and compress them to create a smooth flow of movement Having a faster shutter speed means lesser time to expose the lens to light, so the frames are darker than the ones with 30fps settings.

You may adjust the ISO while taking the video. You can use manual mode

Hi. I can agree with you that using other modes produce videos that are brighter with 60fps (as I use this most of the time for slow motion shots). But for me, even it's not as bright as the other modes, I do not consider it as underexposed. I usually use this outdoors, and I am satisified with its result as it captures the exact lighting on the environment (auto mode). Though I wouldnt be recommending 60fps to be used indoors as it doesn't give the video a decent brightness (tried it just this time in auto mode) even with a +1 exposure. On technical side, I guess Dr. Zen KR just explained it. So if you really want 60fps with a brighter video, then you'll just have to stick with the manual mode.

Using my Zenfone 3 5.2 for video at 4K reso produces better balance on the lighting and and none on the overexposed side..

At 1080p I did not notice the same concern yet but will observe.
However like what Dr. Zen KR's advice, I usually had my cam set up in manual mode though.

Perhaps you can try doing videos in manual mode and see the difference between your previous ones captured in auto.

How come that a zf3 max 5.2 can shoot a 1080p to 4k video?
