Zenfone 4 Max

Hello fellow Zenfans, my name is Dr Zen Greymata (or you could just called me Dr Grey) i want to share a few tips and trick for smartphone user in general  and specifically new Zenfone user. This is part 1 of 4 mini series threads that i will be making, please enjoy it. (i'll be making another one, once every week)

1. Gorilla Glass/Dragon Trail = unbreakable .....That's wrong
all of our screen that is layered with gorilla glass/dragon trail or such, it only work for a protection to minimize scratch not fall proof or break proof
in simple GG is scratch resistant, not break proof

source from an old threads but reliable xda developers
YT=width=640 height=480,align=left]TfgKLwGnOZs[/YT

the simple analogy is you could slice it like this and use it for a sushi  ==> diiris-iris pakai pisau, buat alas bikin sushi, but if you throw it into a concrete wall (it will still break)

2. They've said it's scratch resistant but why did it still scratches?

My smartphone screen already had Gorilla Glass 3/4, but why do I still have a scratches in the screen? and i always keep it in my pants pocket, and some outdoor daily activities
it's all because of Fellow ZF sand, it contains quartz and quartz....
{What will damage your screen most is “Sand” sand contains quartz, which has more hardness than both Dragontrail and Gorilla glass}

more explanation:
Hardness levels:
Now to understand what makes these glass resistant to scratches and so hard, we have to understand something called “Mohs scale of mineral hardness” in layman terms, this scale means, anything that has hardness less than the material will not scratch it. For example, quartz has hardness of 7 on Mohs scale, so a material likes copper will not be able to scratch quartz
Coppers Mohs scale of hardness is 3, while quartz is 7
(Please note that Corning values on their official website on the Vickers hardness scale, which is alternative to the Mohs scale)

Corning gorilla glass has a Mohs hardness of 6 for Gorilla glass 2 and its suppose to be 6.7 for newer Gorilla glass 3. Dragontrail glass has hardness of around 6.5 on mohs scale while sapphire glass has hardness of 8 ~ 9

Luckily we got some phone gorilla glass protection like this , Zenfone 4 Pro and other series like Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro  (But keep in mind, dust and sand is everywhere)

3. Capacity not according to specification?
The capacity is written 8 GB (or 16/32) on the box, but why when we check in storage there is only 1/2 its course?
Because the Manufacturer always lists the total capacity (gross storage), it does not include the operating system (android), default applications, boot loader, ui/user interface etc.
android os itself (depending version) can spend 1-2 gb, not including the update.but if the capacity is at least as big like this, plus supporting micro sd card up to 2 TB... there will be no problem what so ever.

source: why less storage

4.The battery is wasteful ?
My smartphone battery is running out quickly, when they say it can last 2 days? (it's only half a day, it's going to run out of batteries)

wasteful battery is affected by:
- many applications are installed, the more applications ... the more power your smartphone needs
-google services / bbm / whatsapp / line / cocoa / waze / facebook / gps  etc .... that runs in the background
-playing intensive android games, some HD games on android need extra boost ram / gpu ....... GPU / Ram more and more work hard, need a power straw / battery power
- the screen brightness level, the higher the display contrast level .. the larger the battery power it needs
- there may be bugs in rom / custom rom

Luckily we got this that will last a full day on daily usage and 46 days on 4G standby (that's more than a months and a half)

That's part 1 of 4 my Grey Tips Mini-series, see you guys next time when i discussed "do and don'ts (Tips for first smartphone buys guide)"

Yes, this should be basic knowledge for people before owning a smartphone esp mid-hi end (flagship) in 2017. But majority user that complaint in pages/social media are those four common stuff ; my batteries drained too fast, scratches in the screen, and..... Internal disk Capacities (well  majority manufacturer is at fault for this, but people should know this since 2010)

and only a handfull that complain what that's really matter; firmware problem, bug or any important question (when are you updating this to oreo/paela/quiznos or any other android update) .

Stop loading so much junk into our phones or make them uninstallable and the capacity will increase.

That's the ideal dream sir, but sometimes  unless you're android stock directly from google. Every ui have their own good side and bad side, luckily  zen starting zen ui 3.5++ i'm seeing an improvement.

Ps: i already had zenfone live and zenfone 3/ also zoom 3 user.
