ZENFONE 2 mic problem

no one can hear me over phone call.i think its happening after one of the updates, as several updates i've installed during my two months usage.tried capturing video, results hissing noise.


with the headphone, everything works fine.
any solution for this?

Just do what FYJ wrote earlier and post the results here.

I have ZenFone 2 laser ... me and my friend also have this problem my previous phone ZenFone 5 that phone also have this problem

In starting receiving call cant hear...mic problem is there in new update

This is to check if it's hardware related or not.
If the test is failed, it's hardware related and can't be fixed with an update.
In case of a hardware defect I would like to recommend to bring the phone to a Service Center.

Any update in this thread? I am suffering from the same issue. I have zenfone2 laser.

People cannot hear me when I call them via normal provider (MetroPcs) however when I use WhatsApp they can hear me very well. The thing that  i don't know is whether WhatsApp is using the same microphone with normal calls.

I boot the phone in safe mode, and my first call was successful. then boot in the normal mode and phone is still working.  
Based on what I read on forms after restart for awhile the phone is working normal.

One note, I updated the phone couple of days ago and microphone issue appeared after that. After update, somehow security settings was changed,or something like that, because the app CM Security was really aggressive and trying to involve into every application.  

Did anyone experience such a change after update?

I Have Zenfone 2 Laser And After The Update Which Came 2 Days Ago I Started Having This Problem Of This Low In Call Voice . Nobody Can Hear Me Clear While In The Call . I Did What FYJ_ASUS Suggested And Found Nothing Wrong With The Mic . My In Call Volume Is At The Highest As Well . I Think The Problem Is With The Update Which Came 2 days Ago . Please Fix It As Early As Possible .
