For no reason whatsoever I go to pick up my phone and nothing works.
Double tap(how I always wake the phone) didnt work so I tapped the top on/off button, nothing.
I go to plug it in and no indicator for charging either.

Any reset procedure of button(s) anywhere?

edit:
Ive tried these hard reset options and none work

Volume Up + Power at the same time for a few seconds. = did not work

I guess you must go to Service center now to check the device there.

I've just about had it with this phone. Im about to smash it with a hammer.

This will be the 2nd time RMA'ing this phone. First was in Oct 2015 to repair the SIM1 non activation issue.

Such a shame for a manufacturer like Asus to make such a terrible product.
I currently own a ROG g75 laptop upgraded from older ROG's and various Asus PC components all installed in my HTPC and all have been bulletproof(knock on wood). Even own the original ROG G2 laptop from ages past.

My usual high recommendation of Asus products, esp this phone to friends has been tarnished.

I know removing the battery connector may solve this issue but it would be good if this procedure done by professional as the device has non user removable battery. May damge the device in doing so. Or maybe this also may not solve the problem. So going to the service center would be a better idea. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I found the YouTube video of that. Did all that as instructed. Removed all screws and battery back panel and gently disconnected the battery connector and let it sit for about a minute.
After re-connecting battery the phone still would not turn on so disconnected again. Same result.
Tried 3rd time and same thing.
The battery was fully charged prior to this problem so I'm sure there's power in the battery.
Besides, I never let the battery go below 20-30% anyways.

Here Is that video to try fix yourself

Yep, I now filed for a RMA and am sending it in for repair... yet again.

Kinda sick of this phone and its issues.

Even after I got it back the first time from the SIM1 problem I got a OTA OS update(something about video and audio issues) and I was afraid to even update it because I was afraid other issues may arise from it.

Whats the sense of owning a phone where I don't want to update any OS/Android notifications due to possible issues where it needs repair again?? Ownership should not be this way.

Its now happening again!!!!!!!!!!

Just got my phone back last week due to the phone being dead. Not turning on, not charging, no nothing.
It worked fine for a week and now same issue.

Now I have to spend more money sending this back to Asus service including being down without a phone again for a week.
No I don't have a backup phone as I never thought I'd need one as no other phone has ever been like this before. I donate and recycle my old phones to those in need.  (recyclemycell)

I really hate this phone.
Shame on Asus for making such a poor product and using the buying public to test it out.
