Asus Zenfone 2 Vibrate problem

[size=12.8000001907349px]After a system update over the weekend, the vibration alert on the phone has stopped working. Calls with sound work but vibration alert does not. Usually, when you put the volume to vibrate, it vibrates just before the silent setting. Also, under Settings-Sound & Notifications, Also vibrate for calls in set to ON. I have rebooted the phone as well. Please advise.

Add'l Info:

1. Restarted phone in Safe Mode. Vibration alert does not work.
2. The vibration test fails. Shows 1910.
3. Phone has been factory reset. Vibration test fails with 1910.

if problem started happening after OTA update suggest you to check system in safe mode and confirm
also share built no. screenshot for further checking

I have booted it up in Safe Mode as well. The vibrator function still wont work. When I run the Vibrator_Test (thru the calculator app), it fails & shows a 1910 next to it. Here is the screenshot you asked for: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vbq6nlsq0ksus53/AAAejJR989A0TLVmyK10UaBMa?dl=0

I also have this issue. Received my Zenfone 2 today, vibration worked for about 2 hours and then suddenly stopped. Same build number/ kernerl version as above.

Even though the vibrate doesn't work, do you still the vibrate icon on the phone? May look like a phone with parenthesis around it?

Mine actually came back. It keeps coming and going.

When its gone the motor doesnt work at all, no tactile feedback, nothing.

Nothing seems to trigger it coming/going back. Today I just unlocked it and it was gone, a few hours later I was typing a text and it came back.

Go into the calculator app and type .12345+= and run the vibrate test, mine doesnt vibrate during that if its gone, when it works it does.

Yeah, I tried that Vibrator_Test via the calc app. The vibration never goes off. I am starting to think it may be a hw related failure.

I'm tempted to believe mine is software. I've found someone with an identical problem to mine. Did you happen to buy the device form amazon Italy?

Your problem seems slightly different. Does vibration ever work for you?
