I purchase ASUS Zenfone Max on 12th Januarry 2016. From Last 10 days I'm facing a huge poblem in calling. Nobody call me. Even when I want call some one I have to attemp minimum 4 times to make single call. I after the I'm restarting it. Then I recieved all pending SMS. Then again same things happened. Is it a hardware issue or software. Can anyone help it out. Data service also not connecting via SIM. I'm using Airtel 4G SIM. This SIM is working on my old SAMSUNG phone properly.

Wipe the data and cache of Asus calling screen
perform a wipe cache partition from recovery mode and then check
if nothing works

Hi Sourav,

Please follow methods below for troubleshooting:

1. Contact network provider to check if the place where you stay has no signal of mobile network.
2. Tick Data enabled in Settings > More > Mobile networks.
3. Enable Airplane mode for 5 seconds and disable it in Settings >More.
4. Reboot your phone.
5. Update firmware to latest version: Go to Settings > About > System update > Check Update.
6. Access Safe Mode by long pressing power key > tapping and holding Power Off > tapping OK. If your phone works well in Safe Mode, there may be some 3rd apps that cause malfunction. Please reboot your phone and check again if it works well.
7. Backup your data and perform factory data reset.

Make sure your device is on the latest firmware version V12.8.10.65.

Also try the sim card in different handset and check.

Also perform a wipe cache partition. Here are the steps:

Wiping partition cache will resolve any conflicts caused by residual cache from the earlier firmware version.Wiping partition cache will not delete your data. However be careful while doing this procedure and do not accidentally select other options that might delete your data. Do not wipe partition cache often.

1. Switch off the phone by pressing the power button. It will show menu option to turn power off.


2. Press and hold power + volume up button . After it buzzes/vibrates twice leave only the power button.


3. It will boot into bootloader mode after you see the Asus Logo. Toggle to Recovery mode by using the Volume rockers, by default you see Normal Mode . Select it by using the power button.


4. Then the phone will reboot and show error written with Android icon lying belly up. When you see that press and hold power button and press and release volume up button.


5. It will enter the recovery mode successfully and show several options.


6. You will get option to wipe partition cache. Use the volume rockers to move to that option.Select it by pressing the power button.It may take 10 to 15 mins to wipe it fully. Do not reboot during this process even if it takes longer.

I recently updated the mobile system..That time onwards when receving a call its not showing in the screen.. Pls chk and clear problem..
