Can't click pictures with selfie stick

Hi guys,
I've found this bug with my ZenFone 2 Laser.


I have a wired selfie stick. It connects to the audio jack and clicks pictures when the button is pressed.
When I connect it to my ZenFone 2 Laser I can't click pictures.
I also have a ZenFone 5 and with the same camera app, same settings in the app and same selfie stick I can click pictures on ZenFone 5 without any issues.


Why can't I use it with my ZenFone 2 Laser???


p.s. The volume keys are set to Shutter on both the devices.

the audio jack is working fine.
when i insert the connector of selfie stick it shows the headphone icon in notification bar

boot into safe mode and try once

Hey frankdsouza,

Try the following steps :

1. Change the shutter button from the camera App, by going into settings => Set Volume Key as.
2. Turn off the Audio Wizard App
3. Also make sure you try the same with a different camera App to test whether that works.

yes.....
i had to remove and re insert the connector.....
move it in various angles...
most of the time it didn't work.....
(selfie stick had no problem as it works on other devices)
i've tried it with 1st 2 steps....
can you give me a good camera app to install and try?

Hello frankdsouza,

Try using Google Camera App or any App that requires camera permission to check whether this is an App issue.

Try under safe mode to check if that works.
