Battery charge time issue ME372CG

Guys My Device when plugged in for charging..shows 6 hours or more for a complete charge..but when restarted immidiately with continued charging it settle backs to normal 4 hours or less immidiately..charger & cable is okay & have spare geniune charger set ..does same on both chargers so chargers/cables are not at fault..but some cache or app causing seen?? Any views ? this problem is from last few days.

Try to recalibrate the device:

To recalibrate battery,charge your phone to 100% without interruption.
then discharge it normally till 0%(phone gets switched off).
charge it to 100% in switched off condition and keep it in that state for a little more time.
now switch on your phone in charged condition and unplug when ASUS logo appears.
keep the phone unused for 5 mins.
you will get far better battery life as the battery stats.bin file will be updated.

Wipe cache partition and factory reset the device.

If the issue still persist, visit your nearest service center.

After certain updates i am facing the slow charging issue in my K00E (ME372CG Fonepad 7- 1.6ghz ). Once i downloaded UL-K00E-WW_V7.3.2-user update and installed it. I found my FonePad in good conditions. After using it on wifi i got a message for 198 MB more update. I downloaded the same and installed. My FonePad came into trouble. By charging more than 10 hours i hardly can reach upto 70% charging. Soon i found one more update on asus official website. UL-K00E-WW-7.5.2.0-user. I updated my phone wit this update. Now phone was again in good conditions. I was able to charge phone within 3 hours to 100%. After using phone for one week i again got a notification for 198MB update. I checked "Do Not Download Update". But once i connect it to wifi i starts download automatically. I thought it may be important one. I downloaded and installed. Now i am again in trouble. Phone again is showing it will take 7 hours to charge from 45% to 100%. Now it is quite terrible to trust on any of asus update. I think ASUS should properly test all aspects before releasing any update. I am following above steps but they are quite lengthy with no surety.

had calibrated battery earlier.no problem with stans by or battey usage ..problem is charging issue.

i also faced the same after this update.. asus please fix it ..more people reporting it on facebook group of device from around the world.i have tried an factory reset too but no use.FIX IT NOW!!

Hi Amit,

Make sure you are using OEM chargers for your device.

If you think after charging it from OEM charger doesnt charge as it should, carry you device to the service center.

well made sure on chargers/usb cable that they are proper as i am well known to these things ..it's problem of software ..besides me some other people from around the globe in my facebook group of device having the same trouble after updating an 198mb file.

Today i connected my PhonePad(K00E) with my laptop. It says usb device not recognised. However it displayed the internal memory and memory card for a while but as tried to copy movie file into it. It disconnected suddenly. There is no cable driver issue as it is not being recognised on another laptop as well. I tried by chaging ports as well but nothing happened. Moreove rate of charging is still slow. I have to charge for 6 hours to full the bettery before travelling. Please look into the issues and resolve.

if you are on windows xp it wont work untill you have wmp player version 11 installed as kooe works on mtp system .i already been through this & as i installed wmp11 problem solved ..also check in settings> storage> mtp is checked. if you are on windows 7 it automaticly installs required drivers etc.. so check your windows version first n reply here.

Just to make sure can you carry your device to the service center so we can exactly check if its a software/hardware issue.
