How to update to latest version..i am unable to update

Hey shreyashgupta52's. Let me know about the firmware version of the phone. As I can guess you are from India. So for Indian users WW SKU applied. For your phone Andoroid Marshmallow also available.

f your firmware version is WW-1.16.40.1338 you can update the phone manually or by clicking on the software update from the settings> system updates to version WW_V21.40.1220.1698.

This is what I found on Asus Support site:
Version CN_V1.16.40.1338  

Sorry to say but Till now only WW SKU version is getting Android M. Don't know why ASUS making so much delay. It'll be better to contact the Customer Support once to get the details on it.

After updating to Marshmallow there is problem of continuous notification of Data Roaming Access in  ...

It's not a problem, It's just an irritating notification. But I don't know mine this issue has gone. I think after updating to the marshmallow. I formatted my mobile. It resolved many issues. This notification alert and one of the user was facing low sound issue that too resolved. Better format the phone after taking the backup. Good Luck.

great update for my ze601kl! no lags at all

We are lucky. As there is no issue till now on ZE601Kl. for other phone they are facing issues.

EVEN AFTER WIPE CACHE PARTITION (AS SUGGESTED BY ASUS CARE)THE PROBLEM OF ROAMING NOTIFICATION IS STILL THERE.
NOW ASUS CARE WANTS ME TO FACTORY RESET MY PHONE.
I CAN NOT AFFORD LOSING ALL MY APPS TO GET REMOVED/DOWNGRADED

I already told you about that in the above reply. choice is yours you can ignore the notification or you can loose the app data.

Steps of Update:
1. Check software version of your device**
2. Only apply to same SKU update, Example: WW->WW, CN->CN, TW->TW.
3. Software update cannot transfer the software SKU and downgrade the software version.
4. Wrong SKU may cause update failure, please update the same SKU version only.
*How to know the device model?
Path: Settings->About-> Model number
Example: ASUS PadFone2
**How to know the device software version?
Path: Settings->About-> software information->Build number
Example: CHT_PadFone2-user-10.4.17.15-UpdateLauncher
*System upgrade may cause part of data missing, please backup your important data before system upgrading.

I already did that. I posted the opinion here only after checking the Asus firmware on its website itself.

1) You were asking for the Marshmallow ....as this post title is regarding the information on recent update of marshmallow for the ZE601KL --- so i checked and inform you that it is not available for SKU CN (which is your phone firmware).

2) If you want to check the update available for your phone or not. Just go to settings and 2nd last option you will find the system update click on it. You will get the FOTA if available.


Dear Sir I don't think i mislead you. Maybe there is much difference in understanding.Hop this time you may get to understand what I said.

By the way these are not the Marshmallow firmware and one more thing there is one update available for your phone firmware dated 28th July.
