Most of you are probably wondering (and frustrated) on why some ASUS ZenFone 3 Max 5.5 have received their Nougat update (Android 7.1.1), while here you are, constantly pressing "Check Update", only to be greeted by an update on the time and date it last checked on a Firmware Over-the-Ar (FOTA) update, but no actual downloading.
If you are an active user on Facebook, and are part of some ZenFone 3 Max 5.5 users community groups out there, you've pobably read a lot of negative feedbacks on the Nougat update. Some are disappointed because:
> It drains the battery much faster (it actually normalized in a few days)
> A bug on the *143# or *121#, wherein not all choices are shown (A verified bug)
There are other bugs as well, but most of the rants on Facebook are about temporary setbacks after the Nougat update, which can be fixed with a simple clear of cache.
Because of the bugs found on the upgrading of operating system, it seems that ASUS has removed the zip file for the manual update, and have ceased to release the FOTA update as of the moment.
Don't be angry. It's better to wait and have a clean and smooth OS, rather than stressing over the bugs AND wait for the fixed update.
So for all of you guys out there, CHILL
