Simple question about ZenPad Z300m recovery

The question is simple: How to enter recovery mode in Asus ZenPad Z300M?


Volume Down+Power combination enters some chinese menu - I read somewhere that is "Factory mode", not Recovery mode.
Volume Up+Power combination enters menu with 3 options: Recovery, Fastboot and Normal. When I choose "Recovery", it wipes all data and makes hard reset.

Quick related question; I seem to have gone into the Chinese menu by accident. Presumably held both power and Volume Down when picking up the pad.

How do I get out of it?

Edit:
the volume up/down moves the cursor up/down (selects the line of text).
I guessed the bottom line was probably Exit and tried the power button which seems to act as Enter.
Tablet rebooted and seems fine.

I can see good reasons for having the buttons further apart, having held both down accidentally when picking the tablet up.

I can't enter recovery mode; can't flash firmware; can't downgrade firmware and no one can tell how to make it! This is last time I am bying ASUS tablet with MTK processor, because it's f****ng sh**t!
