Description: Since I loaded the last version 7.1.1. , my zenfone is completely useless ! Indeed the zenfone can not recognize the sim card anymore. There is an error message displayed on the screen : com.android.phone is stopped.
Searching in the web, I noticed that we are numerous in France to have the same issue .
Please Asus has to fix this critical bug very quickly !

Could you kindly show me more detail your operation and probable location when you encounter this problem? Please kindly try to use another different carrier sim card  for reconfirmation.

Hello,
We have two Zenfone Laser ZC551KL at home, and we encounter the same problem since the last update 7.1.1 which was done last night.
We always have "com.android.phone" crash message with the continual reboot of the Sim card.
We are both at Bouygues Telecom in France. Phones are totaly unusable !!
Please Asus quickly take the measure of the problem and bring us a quick fix ?

we have same problem from turkey we can't use the phone after 7.1 update always crashing com.android.phone error please release downgrade or  fix this problem quickly

Thank you for your feedback. We are working on this issue as we speak, please help us answer the following questions regarding this issue. If you have already answered part of the questions, please kindly answer the ones you haven't answered, thank you.

01. Please describe your method of duplicating this issue.
02. Once dismissed the error message, does it pop up afterwards? If yes, does it pop up immediately or occasionally?
03. Does the error message reappear after a reboot?
04. Once the message appeared, does it lead to any malfunctions or abnormal activities on your phone?
05. Please tell me which operator (service provider) do you use your phone with.

for me, the issue is:

01. with 4G when I want call
02 yes, immediatly
03. yes when I call
04. I can't calls and  receive calls
05 Bouygues
