Description: Random sudden shutdowns then bootloop
I bought an otg fan around 80 PHP at cd-r king.
After I tried it, few minutes after unplugging, the phone started to bootloop. A sudden shutdown, no shutting down loading screen, screen goes black directly, then the android and asus logo appears, then bootloop.
Luckily, I found a work around for this problem.
Plugging an otg or a charger recovers the phone from bootloop.
The best way was to turn off the phone completely by long pressing the powerbutton before inserting an otg or charger then turning it on.
After this, l must leave it plugged for a few minutes before unplugging or the problem returns.
I don't experience the problem as long as an otg or charger is plugged.
But when unplugged, random sudden shutdowns probably when a battery percentage drops.

Will you give a system update for this?
I already have the latest firmware.
Can this be fixed or revert the problem caused by the otg fan?
I already discarded the otg fan.

Is it possible that the otg fan caused an uninterruptible discharging current in the port resulting to the problem?

PS:a bug i noticed is that, trying to open multiscreen  a unsupported app results to system ui crash then system ui restart, leaving you with a lockscreen.
Before the latest update, the sytem ui wouldn't crash and would just display a toast notification that the app doesn't support multiscreen.
I hope this will be fixed in the next update.

I already tried wipe data and wipe cache partition but it doesn't fix.

Hi burningtimes00,

Good day.
Do your phone would sudden shutdown then bootloop even without connect  to otg fan ?

Thank you.
4#
It would. As long as nothing was plugged since I plugged the otg fan.
5#
Another thing is that.
While on bootloop, plugging the otg fan as a tool to recover the bootloop will disable the charging.
And I can't charge the phone.
I have to turn off the phone, plug in the charger then turning it on.

I found another thread in zenfone 2 max about this problem, the guy made a mistake and posted a thread there instead.

I have another lead.
When I use 2 amp charging then unplug it, the problem is most likely to occur than using the 1 amp charger provided in the box.
Is this because the phone is fast charging then discharging?

I'll be looking for that magnetic charging cord where I can just leave the micro usb plugged in the port and just connect it with the cord via magnets.
Hopefully this would resolve the problem and the phone won't shutdown anymore.
9#
Hopefully this problem won't be experienced in the upcoming zenfone 4 max.
10#
During travels where there are bumps, the problem would occur even when idle.
