Hey guys,

Android O Is coming soon to the Zenfone 3 and looking forward to it. But before it of course is the Android 7.0 Nougat. Currently I am running the latest and last version of Firmware that still uses Android MM In my Zenfone 3.

Now my question is to those who uses the current latest Android 7.1 Nougat Update (14.2020.1708.56) available on the Zenfone 3 5.2, what are the bugs and problems currently on your device? I've heard a lot of Complaints about the update, such as the problem of Auto Focusing and such. If you could be so kind and enlist all the bugs and problems and maybe even the improvements if you will

Lastly, should I update as well. Note that I am Skeptical abd Techy about these stuff
So please give me a straight and firm answer that is hopefully true and right.
Thank you and have a Nice day

ZE520KL user here running on the latest firmware version and i have no major issues encountered since day 1 of using it (lucky for me, i guess). As for your query regarding updates, it is adviseabe to update your device not only that it improves your device's performace but also it is needed/prerequired for the next update. you can't just jump into Android O without getting updated to Android N first.

As I've mentioned sir, I've encountered no major bugs or issues as what the other users experienced like the auto focus issue on the camera. a few lags that are tolerable on my unit are just some minors but they aren't frequently showing up. Maybe I just got lucky with my unit, i guess.Btw, you can check my firmware version here

ZE520KL user here too and I'm on the latest firmware right now. I have no major issue encountered too since I updated to Android 7.0
I notice the UI improvement on performance, it became smoother since the last update.

Dr.Zen Ian is right, it is advisable to update your device to latest firmware for the reasons he stated. I like the Android 7.0 way more than the previous version. So yea, I suggest that you upgrade yours too.

Hmmmmm, Interesting both seem to have no Problems. I just need one more person to reply as a 3rd opinion and I'll see if I'll do. The latest update seems promising

No problems here as well, I'm also running Nougat 7.0 with the latest 14.2020.1708.56 firmware on my ZE520KL. Though I did take the precaution of doing factory resets after the really large-sized updates. At first it seemed like the battery drain was a bit faster but after the aforementioned resets and continued use, I think it has stabilized over time. Everything is really nice and smooth... Maybe I'm also among the lucky ones, as I don't experience anything like the camera / extreme battery drain / etc. problems that a lot of others complain about in these forums.

I would recommend you take that leap and update.
